...you've had an iPhone since March, and you've never mentioned it before...!!! ;)

I know a lot of you on here have smartphones. Do you find that you manage to pick up more jobs because you have email and internet on your phone?
I am wondering if it is worth me investing in a better phone and if I'd get my moneys worth?
    Any opinions ?
    Thanks :D

I got a smartphone specifically for that reason and must admit i could not survive without now. I felt glued to my laptop and feared going out in case i missed everything (sad i'm aware).

I have a HTC desire and love it. (not as much as tractor girl loves her iphone though) :rotfl:
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
  • Usually, you can go to any gate in the same terminal - security is before all the gates.

If you're arriving off an international flight you won't have access to anything apart from arrivals. If you're arriving off a domestic flight then you *may* have access to the departures lounge (although you ought to research deeper to be sure), if you're departing you should have access to all of a terminal's departures lounge although bear in mind that several airports operate satellite terminals which are rather hard to get out of. (I did an assignment at Stansted last year which was located in the satellite terminal - assignment took me 10 minutes, extricating myself took 40 and an awful lot of lying).

Oooh thanks for that info. It would be a domestic flight flying from Manchester to London. I just had a look at a map and got ever so confused, so I think I will leave it. Would have been fun to do as I was going that way, but just seems too complex and I don't want to pick a visit only to have to release it because I didn't do it. LOL.

Don't do it! Just check your emails once a week, that's all you need to do.

Says MG who lives within walking distance from Skiergirl. ;)

    Hahaha bless you MG.

Yes a good phone will make the world of difference. I'd also say you can put the extra cost through as a business expense.

Based on the last time I arrived\flew from T1 (used to do it several times last year.

You will have access to Gate 6 both when you arrive and depart.

When you arrive you can go to Gate 6 BEFORE you go to the bag claim area.
Once you go thorugh the baggage claim area you can NOT get to anmyore gates

When departing once you have gone through security you can go to any gate you fancy!

FYI for Gates 80 + to Ireland
IIRC There used to be a "security" desk about halfway down the walkway to the Irish Gates-but it was never manned

(Haven't been for about 9 months now)

If I were you I'd pick up the job and if you can't do it because of some "security" issue then cancel it. No problem really.
  • Well, set off this morning to do a top class jewellers. Dressed the part...look like I can afford the prices they charge! Put on my nice new jacket I purchased on one of my super shops along with my new white top. Yep...feeling good until.....I glanced in the mirror of the posh store only to see I am covered in black fluff from my new jacket...I try brushing it off casually, and I then become covered in black streaks!! OMG....so embarrased! I stutter through the assignment and spend the next half hour wandering around with my jacket zipped up to my neck and sweating like a pig!!

Have you read any of the posts on this thread, or the previous 16?? Because theres a heck of a lot of advice about all things Mystery Shopping in them!
May take some time but well worth it to get a feel for what it's like! Any specific questions and people here are happy to help!

Thanks, will have a read through - looks like there is plenty info!
  • Ok so I should probably know better than this since i've been doing MSing for more than a year now, but it's my first react coffee shop.

So how literal are they when they talk about 'sandwiches'? Is it just the slices of bread loaf and filling type sandwiches they are looking for comments on, or do they count rolls count as 'sandwiches' too?

    Thanks muchly
