I have bought from Memory bits for a while and not had a problem, even when returning kit.
Since their 60% off offer there have gone quiet. No live chat, no emails, no telephone.
If I look up my order number says it still being processed. however if you look up other peoples orders by changing the number some have been sent out. I am guessing it depends on what people ordered and what was in stock.
Will give them a bit longer and see what happens, hoping its just a blip and they are overloaded with orders.
If you bought from these more than a few weeks ago you bought from a different company completely.
Although it looks the same it is not.
& on another point you all really should be putting claims in with paypal & your card companies right now.Not Again0 -
I'd used zoombits/memorybits without any issues in the past, so took up this "deal". How wrong was I?
I couldn't even get an order through till the morning of the 30th Sep due to issues with the zoombits website. Then I received an automated email from zoombits about further authorisation being needed to verify my address and my order showed up as "awaiting further authorisation". I tried to contact them about this via email, phone and chat, all to no avail. So after a couple of days of reading the HotUKDeals forum and checking my cc account for the debit I saw they'd taken the money and still not full acknowledged my order so I called my credit card company (Amex) and told them the situation.
The asked me to write to Zoombits to cancel the order (as per Zoombits T&C's) and send them (Amex) as copy of the email with acknowledgment of my original order and a copy of the email to cancel the order. Once they had both they suspended the debit to Zoombits and will watch to see what happens. If Zoombits do not refund the money Amex said they will refund it to me and persue Zoombits for it.
So if you haven't heard from Zoombits about your order or received your goods and your cc or other accounts have been debited then I'd get in touch with your cc company/paypal/bank etc and start the claim process.0 -
I've escalated PayPal claim, lodged claim with CC company (investigating) and reported to Police as possible fraud (investigating). Should eventually be refunded.0

same as me,
just phoned CC and told they will send a dispute form.
takes 7-10 working days to get it then I've got to fill it in and send it back... more waiting..
hopefully my paypal dispute will sort it sooner!0 -

Thames Valley police have informed me that Companies House register shows that Memorybits was dissolved in May 2009. The police suspect the current Memorybits website belongs to person(s) trading fraudulently. I have a contact in Jersey who in the next few days will be visiting the premises claimed to be used by Memorybits.0

I had bought a memory stick from them recently, paid with paypal got a confirmation email and it arrived in the next couple of days. No problems?? Right enough my order wasn't huge like some other folks......
and from recent experience I would advise to stay away from Small Claims Court if possible its the biggest waste of time EVER!!!!!0
