Surely nobody is serious about placing an order with this outfit after previous experience with them.

Thing is if the liquidators are chasing the new company because it is the same people or the deal wasn't done properly (not forgetting in the UK that legally all the money should go back to purchaser if they bought after the 29th) then this would be a very quick way of them getting rid of personal liability.

IE you use credit & they write off debt & close again. you get nothing & lose all your money

I wont be using the credit, unless I get a refund from paypal, then I may consider it. But since you cant use it with any offers already on their site (not looked mind) or the 25% off code, I doubt I'll be able to get much, and deffo nowhere near as decent as the original order. I dont want crap thats 60% less than the value of what I ordered, I want MY order or my money back, in MONEY not credit. I would not have bought anything had the offer not been on, I was short on money and it seemed ideal for a couple of xmas pressies on my budget at the time.

I've used the credit as it was only 15 pounds, but I won't be shopping there again. I just wanted something in return for the money I spent. Will be interesting to see if A) they send me my order, and B) I can still claim my money back from mastercard. Will see what happens, because I'm going to tell them at mastercard about the email saying their credit won't effect my refund. For 15 pounds I don't mind finding out just how honest this company is. Of course had my order been for more money I wouldn't have spent the credit for fear of not being able to claim my money back.

We shal see. Will keep everyone informed if anything happens.

It does not say that at all.

It says the OFFER of credit will not effect your refund.

You are going to get seriously done over one day if you can't work out the difference.

I'm not naive, as I said in my last post I'm willing to risk my 15 pounds because I'm curious as to if they are tricking people with this offer.

my paypal dispute is up today, if I get refunded will use my credit, as its a shame to waste it :-P
  • hi there
i just got off the phone with nicole from memorybits and she has given me an assurance that my original order will be fulfilled and i received an email confirming the new order so it might be worth trying to sort things out with them..
i hope i am not being naive because the poor girl sounded a bit battered after being bombarded with complaints so i wanted to give her and memorybits a chance to sort things out.
    ( i was a bit irate at first)

i promise to post back about if the stuff arrives or not

Paypal have refunded me, my emails said -
    Dear ************

We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
    favour.

You have indicated that a partial refund of 0 would be satisfactory.

If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account
    privileges.

!!!!!! is that middle bit all about? I was refunded in full though.
