Its only costing you money. She's not living alone - you said she's living with her son. So why should she give up the independence she values to bail out the selfish son-of-a-b**** who is giving ultimatums? No wonder her son thinks you are so lovely!0

Are you basically saying you need her to move in (for your financial reasons) or you want her to move in?

I've wanted her too for five years.....now I may need her too.
£50,000 would have bought an awful lot of Holidays....for both of us.
When you've stopped having a pop.....
Have you ever been in the same situation yourself!!0 -
To cut costs, why don't you continue the relationship but make sure she occasionally gets a round in? Cut down on your social outgoings by taking advantage of meal deals, such as those in the local Wetherspoon. Claw back the investment you've made in the relationship by asking her to contribute towards the petrol each time you take a drive together. Stop buying her gifts. If you cook her a meal, make sure she brings half the ingredients (and not just the cheap ones, some women can be really devious).
There's probably a mobile phone application you can download to accurately keep track of the savings until the sum she owes you is fully repaid.0 -
Why don't you just get a new bird, one without a kid still hanging to her skirt tails. Plenty of fish and all that.0

Was I having a pop? Don't think so. I thought it was a relevant question.

I doubt very much you will find many people who have been in a situation where they take "their partner's son, her emotions and everything else out of the equation."
That's not how relationships work which is why you are not going to get the answers you want.Every generation blames the one before...

You could sell your house that your mate is keen to buy and move in with her.0

I believe the 50k is his approximation of what they would have saved thus far and not a sum Jackie actually owes him (please don't give him ideas LOL!).Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman
