I applied for the 3 month trial again and got through no problem. I used it quite a bit last time but then didn't buy as i was seconded abroad for 6 months. If I use it this time then I'll wait to get the £30 offer that they send out from time to time and then buy - I don't think i'd pay £80 though as they definitely run promotions throughout the year

Got a free yearly membership but never really used it. Often eat out on a whim and that's not conductive to pre-booking.

Got a gourmet society card free and use that much more, as most of the places I've used it don't ask for prebooking. Although I do tend to go with the idea - if I get money off it's a bonus, if not I would have paid that anyway.
