You can get a years Taste Card membership from £1.50 on e bay at the moment. It was a Carphone Warehouse offer, free years tastecard with a PAYG phone and various people seem to be selling the voucher. I paid £2, code by e mail filled in the form and a week later got the card.0

I didn't get the tastecard, so i tried a different company in called gourmet society i think, not as many places registered. However i now live in Stockholm! If anyone wants it, message me. I won it on madbid for 1p with £4.99 postage.
Thanks,

I got mine with the 3 month trial - I used it at Ask a couple of times and another independent local restaurant.
It was most useful at a pub just up the road from where we were staying on holiday - the food was 50% off with the tastecard and it was of a very high standard.
Used it 5 times in total and was sorry when it expired.0 -
My family & I LOVE Tastecard and it has saved us HEAPS & is the only way we can afford to eat out now!
We do the same , especially on a weekday , just ring & book for 10 mins later for our local one ( we practically live there now it is so cheap with the discount )
I have only had problems once , pre-booked , they said yes we accept Tastecard for 50% off but when we GOT THERE they said no as there is already a 'special menu' ( unlimited rodeo grill ) so there will be no discounts!
It was my exes Birthday treat meal for me at a restaurant I had been itching to try so as he said he didn't mind we went ahead and ate there anyway0 -
What really annoys me is that restaurants can just opt out without warning. Was going to GBK in Canary Wharf on a weekly basis with my Tastecard until one day it just turns out they don't accept it anymore...0

I've just renewed for my second annual Tastecard.
As a matter of course, I always ask on entry into a restaurant if I can use my Tastecard (even if it doesn't specify pre-booking is required) and no batted eyelids as yet.
Personally, having the card has saved me a lot and I've had 100% positive experience with it.0 -
I got a "free" year's Tastecard by changing currency with ICICI a couple of months ago. The exchange rate wasn't the best available, but did mean that I effectively for a year's Tastecard for under £20.
It is a quite full of uninspiring chain restaurants, but there are a few interesting places on there (personal favourites include Tierra Peru in Islington and The Hill in Greenwich). I've already saved over £100 with it.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
I found the same - it's embarrasing.
changed now from an annual tastecard to a Hi-Life Go smartphone app which is free for a month and then lets you pay as you go and just top up whenever you want for only £1.99 a month - perfect coz then if im not eating out that month i doesnt cost me anything.0 -
I have a Tastecard and have used it to save a small fortune. For my wife's birthday last year and last Sunday I took 14 people to Prezzo in Shepperton, and I paid for the food using my tastecard, (and a Tastecard from a friend as each card covers 6 people) and saved £159 in food in one go. We have done this twice, so if you are having a birthday bash seriously use a Tastecard.
It was better value using a taste card than the print off voucher, as the voucher restricts choices and does not save you as much (would have cost £70 more from my rough calculation).
Prezzo in Shepperton were very good for a large group, and did the cake thing for us as well, so many thanks to them. I did book in advance, and check what days are Tastecard days.0
