It's insane! Indicators are there for a reason but the huge amount of people that don't use them for whatever reason are putting everybody includung themselves in danger.0 -
Have you actually passed a driving test or read the Highway Code? Dual carriageways are 70MPH in a NSL. If you're going to have a go about people going too slow on a DC, its best to have your facts right so you're not confirming you're one of them.
I get sick of people like you who think they're 60 and hold me up or slam all on at a speed camera on the A1 even though they were only doing 60 in a 70 limit and then give me the w*nker sign cos I know what the limit is and don't slow down.
I meant single as should have been apparent from my discussion of overtaking on the wrong side of the road (which is impossible on a D/C by definition), and reference to a 70mph dual carriageway in the next paragraph. Post edited to clarify.0 -

There's no need to call me a moron! That's just rude. I was mearly trying to get a discussion going.
But its drivers like you that has resulted in me losing many days where I could've seen my kids but ended up running out of driving hours because of an accident your type inevitably cause.
I've been first on scene at a fatal between a car and a motorbike because the car driver was impatient like you and decided to overtake on a blind bend.
I and many other lorry drivers have been lambasted and carved up for driving at the legal limit of 40 in a NSL on a SC-A road to the point where Bedfordshire Police took out a full page newspaper ad to state we were driving at our legal limit and not deliberately going slow...
Anyway, I'm out of all that now and life is a lot better.0 -
Is it not easier and safer to just undertake if they clearly have not understood the rules of the road?
I have no problem with this usually so long as they do so with plenty of room. If they just move out without indicating to within inches of me then that's different. I don't personally see any point in signalling to move from lane 2 to lane 1 as the rules of the road are you go to lane 1 unless overtaking, and as you just overtook something and can see you have passed, and nothing's going to pull out into you, then not indicating isn't a problem.
I stay a safe distance behind them and sit with my indicator on, if they are not in the mood to shift I may flash my headlights to get them to notice. Not like I am going to be exiting on the right on a motorway* or on most dual carraigeways.

I thought undertaking was illegal? If they were to just decide they wanted to move over and didn't see me, I would get hit and it would be my fault for undertaking:o0

People who use the terms "slow lane" and "fast lane".
Drivers who pull into the overtaking lane of a dual carriageway just because they are turning right a mile down the road.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Following closely could be considered driving without due care and attention and would be as illegal than undertaking. Also if they slammed on the brakes and you were unable to stop due to following inches behind them, then you'd lose out on the insurance side of things. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. My pet hate is people who get in the wrong lane at roundabouts then have to cut you up to get back in the right lane! ARRHHHHHH, drives me NUTS!0

Plus the morons who sit at 60-70mph in the middle lane on the motorway when there is virtually no other traffic, I use the inside lane doing 70mph and find it ludicrous that I am committing an offence by undertaking them - they are the guilty party and really, really p-ss me off, why should I have to go from the inside lane to the outside lane to pass them.
