Road rage!!!

I have really bad road rage at the minute.:mad:

I usually manage to calm myself down before I give myself a headache, but I get so annoyed when...

People straddle lanes. Why? Can you not see that there are 2 lanes and i'm right up your a**e because you're doing 27 in a 40mph zone!

People go slower than the speed limit travelling up to traffic lights, then speed up and go through a red light.

I'm waiting to turn right at lights, the lights are clearly changing, but again you speed up to get through them, leaving me sat in the middle of the road with cars coming at me from both sides.

People are sat in a side road waiting to pull out, but wait until the last minute to decide they think they can make it, causing me to slam my brakes on to avoid hitting them!

I promise you I am not a speedy driver, I just hate Sunday drivers that drive around all week!

Anybody else have any pet hates with other drivers...?:o

People that sit right up my a**e for whatever reason when I'm driving.

People who apparently don't know what the NSL sign means and so carry on at 30 or 40 after entering a 60 mph single carriageway. Then they speed up once they realise they're being overtaken, sometimes leaving you stuck on the wrong side of the road if the car behind has moved forwards to fill in your gap.

People who do 40 everywhere, regardless of whether it's a 70mph dual carriageway or a 20mph school zone at 8:50am.

People who put their rear fog lights on in heavy rain.

To name just a few.

I only do this when people are in the right hand lane and there are no other cars in the left hand lane...;)

Yes. DRIVERS LIKE YOU. I did 16 years and 1.8 million miles driving wagons up to 44 tonnes and constantly having morons like you trying to kill me on an almost daily basis.

Have you actually passed a driving test or read the Highway Code? Dual carriageways are 70MPH in a NSL. If you're going to have a go about people going too slow on a DC, its best to have your facts right so you're not confirming you're one of them. :p

I get sick of people who think they're 60 and hold me up or slam all on at a speed camera on the A1 even though they were only doing 60 in a 70 limit and then give me the w*nker sign cos I know what the limit is and don't slow down.

I drive a lot of motorway miles and it beggers belief how few people indicate when they change lanes. I can only concur that this is due to a startling lack of intelligence as if they realised how close they were to killing themselves and otheres they surely would not do it...

Is it not easier and safer to just undertake if they clearly have not understood the rules of the road?

I have no problem with this usually so long as they do so with plenty of room. If they just move out without indicating to within inches of me then that's different. I don't personally see any point in signalling to move from lane 2 to lane 1 as the rules of the road are you go to lane 1 unless overtaking, and as you just overtook something and can see you have passed, and nothing's going to pull out into you, then not indicating isn't a problem.
