This thread has taken a turn for the worse; it's now just cowardly vandals suggesting ways to inflict criminal damage then run away.
This reflects extremely badly on MSE in general; please can we keep discussions on topic and within the bounds of the law?Can I help?0 -
melancholly wrote:just to let everyone know - the car is back tonight (not seen it for a few days) and..............wait for it...................they managed to park (almost) not blocking the drive. they're still over it a bit but we can get the cars in and out. i seriously do not understand how this woman ever passed a driving test but she's better than she has been. (although there is still space in next door's car park and outside the flats there, but given that i can use the drive now i'm not going to get too picky!!!)
Stick a note under the windscreen:
"Glad to see your parking skills are improving. You're almost there! Merry Xmas."
I don't think that's illegal.
If she parks outside your house again whilst you're in and actually manages to park properly, you could all go outside and clap sarcastically.0 -
I think a lot of the respondents to this need to read that Aesop story about the sun and the wind trying to get the man to take his coat off!
It is very thoughtless to block another's driveway but my opinion is that a quiet word or a polite note is much more likely to resolve this in a amicable way than criminal damage or crass sarcasm. The latter are more likely to escalte the problem, not solve it.0
