Ok this is the list thought I had better do it quickly rather than analyse it too much
5 Things I find easy in no particular order
1. Maths - like numbers to add up
2. Gadgets - I would be a gadgetaholic if I could afford it
3. Looking after babies - pity they all grow up!
4. Wallpapering - inherited from my dad he was a decorator
5. Travel - never been frightened to go anywhere anytime on my own
Things that I can do and get lost in time
1. Messing about on the computer
2. Reading
3. Puzzles (caused me to miss a plane once never owned up said I fell asleep it sounded less silly!)
4. Jigsaws
Things my OH says I am good at (substituted that for other people hope it counts
1. Figures
2. Organising
3. Being fair and sticking to my principles
4. Seeing the bigger picture
5. Timekeeping
Ummmmmmmmmmm wonder what that says about me

The *business* idea that stands out to me is wallpaper ... maybe combined with puzzles and maybe maybe gadgets. Clever wallpaper?
Uh oh ... got 20 minutes to get ready and go out - I'm going to look a complete mess .... hey ho, its *old* friends.

19 races, start in Dubai in March, end in Abu Dabi in November; sort of a world tour, with all the glamour of Formula 1 and the excitement of racing. My dream lifestyle, together with test cricket and Wimbledon.
Will think about my skills in that sort of way - I did a degree in Maths from OU just because I liked numbers. Not sure what good it did me.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I had a great meeting with gilligansyle yesterday and I was discussing this wth her and had to admit although it sounds quite shallow that I would like to be rich : I am going to have to come up with a business idea - but therein lies the problem I can execute ideas but I don't have a creative personality
Today I have decided that I will find a local craft fair so that at least I can kickstart the jewellery side but in the meantime if anyone has an abfab business idea going spare please pm me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't think it's shallow. In this Country we are brought up to think that the pursuit of money is vulgar. It isn't.Double_Trouble wrote: »5 Things I find easy in no particular order

You did mention that you were a Solicitor in a previous life? I have never met a poor one - might it be worth considering resurrecting that career? With Law qualifications and good numeracy skills, you should have a better chance than most at becoming seriously rich!
Also DT, you seem a very caring and principled person. I've worked for a few self made Millionaires (and have a close relative who has done very well for themselves) and they share common traits.
Sadly, in my experience - rarely are they in it for the greater good.
They are exceedingly driven of course - but for success, power and to always *win* as well as money, but that is not necessarily the main driver.
They also don't see problems as problems - but relish them as opportunities to think outside the box. If something doesn't work out - they try another way and another. All the ones I know never give up and are always hungry for a challenge. Penny pinching and constantly thinking of ways to increase profits is also high on the agenda.
Another thing I have noticed is there is often a lack of scruples - it doesn't matter if someone loses out - so long as it's not them...
I wonder if that would would sit comfortably with you....
Personally, I would not waste time on Crafts, there is only pin money in it and really, people do for the love of it. Sadly, creative people are rarely *rich* as a result of their own direct creativity (again I've had first hand experience of this!). Things need to be bought cheap and sold en masse, so labour costs in this Country are too high.
I think if you sit quietly and don't look so hard, the answer is probably right under your nosex
