All you've lost so far though is time. Research is good. Something will be just the right thing for you, its just finding it.

I am down - no it is completely useless I think that is part of why I am down why didn't I realise that straight away I think I was so pleased to have found something that I switched off commonsense

I'm sorry to hear that - but, exactly what you thought, good that you've realised it after only a day - it sounds like you got your hopes up really high, which is why you're so down now I expect ... be a bit kind to yourself tonight, hey? We all do the best we can.

So true - and you more than most DT.

As I said, I'm sure the answer is there already. You have got a really good skill set and moral code to match. Perhaps you should utilise MG's Mind Map?

Perhaps making a visual map will help link all your skills and ambition together and the picture will become clearer for an idea to start to emerge....

I also think you are right to keep it to yourself, you WILL get there. Chillax tonight though x
  • I was kind to myself last night I spent the evening chillaxing on the Christmas craft thread to get some ideas for pressies. Also managed to find an idea for a bead christmas tree ornament so I have ordered the necessary stuff so I can give them a go. :D

I have received a booking form today for my first craft fair actually it is a ladies christmas pamper evening so we will see it was basically the only one I could find that was within a reasonable driving distance. So I need to get a move on and get some stuff made so that I have a decent amount to sell hence the Christmas ornaments. It is on Friday 10th December so just over 4 weeks to go. I have today purchased a black 3 foot Christmas tree from Mr. Ts for £2.50 which I thought I would use to display the ornaments on and I will get a piece of black cloth to cover the table. I do have some jewellery stands thanks to a fellow MSEr :T but I will have a dry run at home to see how things look.

I realise I haven't said much about the diet recently probably because almost six months in it is such a normal part of my life that I forget about it. I have 8 more lbs to lose :) and I am now on phase 3 of the diet which means for the first time today I had a proper breakfast well if you can call 2 tablespoons of the most basic muesli you can find and a total combination of 150ml of skimmed milk and fat free yoghurt a normal breakfast :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it was nice for a change though. I have also gained the right to have a bar instead of a sachet for a snack once a day so I have been having a praline bar which is nice and a lot easier for when I am out and about. I also get to add a few more veg back into diet onions, carrots, beetroot, cabbage and mange tout so a bit more variety. I am still finding the diet OK the clinic has temporarily moved to Stockport which as long as the motorways are behaving is not too bad to get to.

No news on the employment/business front. KM the family business is a butchers and really it is as well run as possible and if I tried to interfere A) I wouldn't know what I was doing and B) I would upset the Manager - I know they are doing the best they can in difficult financial circumstances.

Been out today and bought stuff to fill the Operation Christmas Child boxes and a few crafty bits I will need for Crimbo pressies. I also went this morning to collect a complete set of football kits for Kits for Kids from a lovely rural school which was a lovely start to the day even though I had to have my picture taken for the paper which is not my thing

So quite a busy day today was hoping to go on a little trip tomorrow but looks like the weather has scuppered that  if it doesn't happen Social Services want me to go in and test some fostering software perhaps the children are going to be looked after by computers and that will be another job I have lost :rotfl::rotfl: that reminds me we have decided for the moment to carry on fostering and we will reassess the situation later as we don't want to finish just because of what has happened recently.

    Sorry for the long post.

I hope to learn how to mind map properly on Saturday so perhaps things will look clearer then
