there is so much I could do if I didn't have to worry about money - not sure how that is going to happen though - we agreed that you are not going to get rich by working for someone else, so unless I have some long distant rich relative that I don't know about
I am going to have to come up with a business idea - but therein lies the problem I can execute ideas but I don't have a creative personality

Hi DT, not shallow at all - I went through the agony of it all and I do want to be rich; very rich. As I said before, I want to create abuldance and opportunities for others - this is hardly possible if I can't pay my mortgage, is it. So no guilt no excuses - I want it and I will get it. How is what is puzzling me at the moment.
I was very pleased that you are doing the exercise I was thinking about - I'll do it as well. As for ideas and working them into reality - I will start posting about that on the Matrix Forum - and will let people know.

Afternoon DT
was thinking about what you said about providing a service, could you use your hamper making or 'pots of gold' making skills? Problem is, as we discussed, its not going to make you rich. Could you run courses in 'cheap and cheerful Christmas' or Christmas on a budget? Actually most of us could do that one.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

That made me laugh if people want a cheap and cheerful Christmas they are not going to pay me a fortune to tell them how to do it would defeat the object somewhat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Now if I lived in London maybe I could find people who are too busy to get ready for Christmas and do it for them but there again I supposed they would just order stuff from fortnums or harrods and get them to gift wrap it. It would be a bit seasonal too but at least you have got me thinking outside the box thanks:T

Now if I could get a job that meant following the Grand Prix round the world that would be good and if I could get OH tickets he wouldn't mind either:D0 -
DT ... I don't think its shallow either, that you want to be rich. I want it too!
Doing a craft is unlikely to make you rich - read, impossible. Unless you do it with the intention of learning enough about it so that you know what to sell, and then sell other people's work, like you had the idea with the jewellery business originally. Firewalker said something on her thread about working in your passion - and if you want to continue to live where you are, which I *think* you do, then you need to either travel regularly, or do something on the web, providing either a service or a physical product. Travel would still be regular, but more infrequent.
Um, it sounds very cut and dried put that way ... does that ring any bells for you?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Oh dear ... I meant, does it make sense? Do you have any more idea of what appeals to you that would make money? The Ratners made a lot of money from selling jewellery - they only lost through stupidity ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Oops sorry it made lots of sense - just not a clue what yet.
I really think jewellery is dead in the water too much available it would have to be v expensive designer stuff and even if I could do that it is not something I feel comfortable with - selling expensive tat:D doesn't make my heart sing :rotfl::rotfl:
perhaps I need to improve my memory on MGs course and then hit the casinos until they catch on of course
Right I am going to do firewalkers exercise now no more faffing around and see what comes up.

It makes Kirsty Allsop a fortune..and what she does isn't actually THAT cheap. Pity we don't live surrounded by rich people. My sister has a client who 'dresses' peoples houses for Christmas, New Year etc, but thats in a posh area.
