big hugs DT xxx
glad DD has got an appointment...as you say it's a start.
nobody can blame you for how you feel re your last foster child and how they treated you was appalling and now they want you to do a course...they blow me away with their insensitivity and lack of understanding.0 -
DT, do you have the census "booklet" (= paper mountain, and a CD)? I let the reference date go by, *and* the online training they wanted done in such a hurry, but they've still sent it to me.
err that would be no because they still haven't told me whether I have the job or not so I presume after all this hassle that probably means the man from the census job says no

My dad has applied and the closing date was only Monday. Dad said there were some unpaid jobs that would be to help fill in forms but with the paid ones they don't even have an idea yet of how many people they need as its to do a cross check of genuine answers after people have completed and returned them.
hugs for the meeting, but another "day" done. x

Hi Me;) there are still paid interviewer jobs available but they start later than the job I applied for the closing date for those jobs is 8th March I was supposed to start work on 16th March after having completed training and references etc. I agree they don't know how many they want but I am sure they are just keeping me dangling so that they can offer me some other job they can't get rid of to anybody else some of these later jobs only last 3 weeks whereas mine was supposed to be until the end of the first week in May they are also shorter hours I had applied for full time if I don't get what I applied for I shall be telling them to shove it I need a full time job not a few hours when it suits them - besides I am sick of getting emails saying I will hear in 2 weeks I have had 3 of those the last being a month ago on the 2nd Feb the only thing I have had since is telling me about jobs that are further away and less hours.
I am a little cross but if this is how they recruit goodness knows how they will actually manage the work.

Hi DT
it doesn't sound much like they know what they are doing. Census day is this month isn't it? So the work will start after that, presumbably. Personally, although I've used census data and find it useful, I hate filling it in, and lose the will to live near the end.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Don't you get the feeling that The Universe is steering you away from the Census job, because something far more lucrative is around the corner? That's what it looks like to me....
Sorry about the meeting, that must be so difficult to revisit, but good to hear that little DD is brighter
Have a good day x0 -

I sincerely hope so Macgirl I just so hate being messed about it makes you realise that they don't value you if they think they can keep you dangling on the end of the rope if the economic climate was different they wouldn't get away with it but at the moment they must be assuming everyone is desperate
Must go and check out your diary and see how the interior design exercise is proceeding - we are still working outside at the moment on fences ad pergola but the paint brush needs to come out inside too.

Thats a good point - I bet thats true. In my case, the universe is probably giving me a choice again - you can delay the trading **again** if you really want to. No I don't :jDouble_Trouble wrote: »I sincerely hope so Macgirl I just so hate being messed about it makes you realise that they don't value you if they think they can keep you dangling on the end of the rope if the economic climate was different they wouldn't get away with it but at the moment they must be assuming everyone is desperate :mad:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well my trip to get Sunday School stuff did not go as planned as I decided that the craft idea was too expensive especially as we never know how many children there are going to be so I always have to buy extra to be on the safe side so it is back to the drawing board for a new idea
But I think the Universe is at work I have been pursuing an idea the last couple of days for getting back into work and have been trying to get in touch with a friend who might be able to help but haven't been able to find a work email address for her and was debating whether to telephone her over the weekend or to wait until the next time I saw her. I usually see her about 2/3 times a year but of course I met her coming out of Mr. T's today so that reallly took the decision out of my hands so I don't know whether anything will come of it but I have asked - this is so scarey so I am glad I was forced to do it rather than wibble about whether to make the phone call or not and she is lovely and I know she will really try for me so if it doesn't work I will have to try something else but at least I am tryingI know very trying

Good luck with your friend and am sure something great will come up soon0
