The meeting went well but I was in bits as usual over the adoption of our little girl which of course came up I feel we should have fought harder to keep her we all miss her so much - not a good day after all - you just never know what heartache you are letting yourself in for probably just as well

  • Good news re hospital date and so sorry about the other news. I don't think there is much we can say that will help except to send virtual hugs. x

The meeting was at home KC now they want me to go on a course about moving children on a bit late in the day and I don't have a problem with moving children on in general just this particular child and how we were misled into thinking we could adopt her but if I don't do it then it will be frowned on so another potentially upsetting day the only consolation is that the tutor is excellent as I have had for another course and she is independent of the department and I remember last time she was appalled at how the department operated so no change there then :(

Virtual hugs gratefully accepted :A and yes really pleased that we are a step nearer to the op.

DT YOU BAD LADY, I just choked on my cuppa!!!! I was nearly doing a jig around the living room and my eyesight is not the best so it took me a second to spot the tease :)

What a shame that you ended up upset today. I always thought that it must be hard to foster but to be treated in that way with the little girl is shocking. You deserve better. Hopefully you will settle down again (although I guess the heartache will always be there) and you will be able to deal with the course. You are right to buckle down and get on with it if it means that you get to carry on fostering without any negative feedback. Hope it all works out for you

    (((hugs)))

After the way you were treated over the little one, its understandable that you feel down, and it brings it all back.
Glad you've got a date for DD, is this just for a consultation or for the actual op - sorry if I've missed it.

DT, do you have the census "booklet" (= paper mountain, and a CD)? I let the reference date go by, *and* the online training they wanted done in such a hurry, but they've still sent it to me.
