You can give accounts names - I have an 'Old E Savings' and a 'New E Savings' when logging in.

    I've done that too ...:)

This document says it's instant access by internet only: http://www.natwest.com/downloads/personal/savings/e-Savings-bonus.pdf

    That's not for the 2.85% e-saver though?

Hi I just opened an esaver account as it looks like it will give a better rate of interest than my EISA account, the difference being that the ISA is tax free, is there any calculator online that I can use to do a comparison on which will work hardest for me? and how do I pay the tax owed?

Assuming you are a basic rate tax payer, the Natwest esaver will only net you 2.28% interest. Natwest will automatically withhold 20% of the interest for tax purposes (standard procedure for all non-ISA accounts that pay interest).

ISAs pay the full rate without deductions.

If you have an ISA that pays less than 2.28%, you should consider finding a new provider and asking them to transfer your ISA. Current best ISA list is here, and you should easily get 3% on instant access, or 3.25% on a 60-day notice account.

Well, too late for me, I'd opened the Halifax 2.8% at the end of last month and transferred all my instant access money there...

It is. 1.81% gross bonus plus 1% gross basic rate gives 2.81% gross which with interest paid monthly gives 2.85% AER.

But you also asked about "unlimited withdrawals". Read what I said in the previous post on that.

Once activated, how long does it take for the e-saver to become viewable on online banking? (Natwest)
