    :hello:Hi sockdrawer,

I've been here quite a while, not because I like housework - au contraire! I just wanted to say that I agree absolutely with what you said about the thread, the effect on the house - and more! If it were not for the flyladies here, I wouldn't be back teaching, let alone have a much tidier and more relaxing home!

So, yesterday I cleaned the livingroom, and part of the main bedroom, before going to I***, and then this morning I did the kitchen. I was going to do more, but it was qutie nice weather, so did some flying in the greenhouse instead - clearing out all the old tomato, chilli and basil plants, and sweeping it out thorouhgly. I want to buy some bulbs and pot up for early next year, when I need some flowers most.

Have to pick up DS2 from other side of town...love and hugs!

    Hi,

Hope everyone is well. Hugs, vibes, and spoons all round as necessary. Best wishes, congraulations and happy birthdays as appropriate.

This week has been absolute madness for us.... We came back from Scotland late on Monday night and were instantly on catch up all week.

It was month end at work so thats always a flaming nightmare.

The Ryder Cup is right here on my doorstep meaning my sisters shifts are all over the place, so dropping her off and picking her up has been a nightmare - and trying to get anywhere in the village between road closures, celeb-spotters and all the gubbins that goes with it, is just not fun.

Anyway - have done a zillion loads of washing, shedloads of tumble drying, hang up loads (house looks like a chinese laundry), folded even more, put away some and ironed....zilch :D

Went to training this morning, which was a complete waste of time. Then had birthday parties to go to - I hate sitting in those flaming kids play centres....my head is STILL banging!

I have dragged the little ones toy boxes out of his room and have forced him to start going through them in the living room. Hes quite happy to go through them and understands we dont have room for everything, but he doesnt actually want to part with anything.

Anyway, hes doing it, so I cant complain....watch this space. If he doesnt do it - he knows that I will, and he knows what that means....:D

Im thinking Im going to give up for today now and start again tomorrow.

    xx

What a great influence you flyers are having on me. Been out with DD and my parents today-good walk at a deer park. Got back around 2.45 so had a cuppa and then DD and my mum went to play and my dad fell asleep, so I HAD to clean what must be my worst hotspot, the kitchen table as my parents were staying for tea. Instead of shifting most of the stuff to another dumping ground I actually put it all where it belongs. I also cleared and properly cleaned another area of the kitchen. Put a lot of things away that'd been left out and just before the tea was ready I had a little time so I cleaned the doors of all my kitchen wall cupboards (base cupboards yet to do!). Because I'd also done washing up in amongst this there was only the tableware to wash after tea. And then we sat (well DD didn't she danced-shes 5!!) to watch strictly and I got some of my sewing thats been waiting for ages done. If I carry on like this I could have all my house clean and tidy and all my jobs done that've been waiting for ages-(some like my filing for 3 years I think!) by the end of the month-what bliss that would be!!

My own review of this first week as a flylady. :)
Achieved, are all the dailies, and the various level tasks for the week (obviously not all in one day!) And we have a nearly clean close :j
The youngest lad's future new bedroom looks a lot clearer, and I've explained to youngest lassie the reasoning behind sorting his room out first, and she's totally cool with it (as long as she can get lilac paint in her room!) I think I've also learned a lesson in being firm with relatives who were storing stuff in our house. The world didn't end, and I didn't do my usual and take responsibility for their gubbins. You guys really helped me with that.
I feel so unaccountably happy when I walk into my kitchen and it's in control. I love cooking, and cook pretty much everything from scratch, but sometimes get put off doing other things, such as baking, because of the hassle of finding everything and finding places to put it back! I can see that changing big time.
Our bedroom is now more restful, and more like a bedroom should be. Clean sheets, aired, not dusty, and dingy.
I've also noticed that the children are more responsive about picking up from a clean base. It makes it easier to identify the mess I think!

I am also feeling a lot less overwhelmed about the VAT for my business, as I've tried to do a little every day, and some folk, particularly Seafarerswife have made some absolutely stellar suggestions.

    Morning All

Happy Birthday Fedup - hope you're enjoying your holiday.

I didn't get a lot done yesterday but I did do quite a bit of washing and started sorting out what presents I've already got - even wrapped some so they can go up the loft.

Need to finish the present dorting today, sew on some badges, do more washing & ironing, etc, etc..

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
