my parents received the very same letter from Roxburghe Debt Collectors on the very same day (20th Dec). Thing is, this is the first they heard of the fine/invoice -no other letters/threats of any kind came before it. The "offence" was committed on 21st Oct.

Do we assume then, that this is the last we'll hear of it? Has anyone else received this Roxburgue Debt Collector letter and ignored it?

Roxburghe and their other name graham white are very well known on here, they have never done court ever, the best advice is to ignore completely their unenforceable invoice, they are just part of the cowboy ppc industry, and nobody takes them seriously on here.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • Follow Taffy's advice and you will be OK. Just like to point out that for posting on any of these forums, it is a good idea to have a screen name that protects your identitity. Not that this will affect you but some Private Parking Contractors have taken to spying on these forums in the hope of gleaning information in the hope that it will help them in their nasty little business. This is indicative of the effect we are having on PPCs who issue Mickey Mouse 'fines'. Oh and do not worry if you get a letter from Graham White Solicitors. As Taffy has said, that is part of Roxburghe and is just a ruse to intimidate you. Hopefully your parents will not be intimidated by the bully boy tactics but if you need help or reassurance, post again.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

only just found this thread and it makes a very interesting read. i've never paid £1 to park at LA as I always get whoever drives me there to stop for a second while I jump out. We've never had a fine. However, i'm expecting one any day now. The last time we were at the airport we noticed a white van with a camera on the roof. When we jumped out of the car, we noticed the camera was on us:eek:The camera followed the car when it drove off!

I will now. Thanks to everyone on here:)
  • We've had the letter from APCOA Parking UK Limited and then at least one from Roxburghe....and this morning received the "Notice of Intended legal Action" from Graham White Solictors.

Apparently my bill now stands at over £200.....which is a tad expensive for driving briefly into a restricted area....especially one that wasn't protected by a barrier!

Thanks to all those who have posted on here and given me the confidence to place these letters in the filing cabinet with the swing lid!

Of course though, if you're all proved wrong then I do expect you to come and visit me.....:D!

If they did try court (unlikely) the guys and gals at pepipoo would have a defence up and running quick smart.

In any case they cannot enforce a Civil Penalty charge, such an animal does not exist, there is no consequential loss to sue for, in court, so no realistic way for them to act, and enforce their excessive invoice.

Try telling that to ASDA/T&C parking at their car-park in Retford, Nottinghamshire. All the car-park signs have the words "civil penalty charge" prominently displayed.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

In a "perfect" timing for Christmas I got the letter from Roxburghe Debt Collectors , here is a scan (I removed all personal information):

Immediately 14 days after this letter was issued, a letter from "Graham White Solicitors" was issued, it signed by Michael Sobell (Solicitor):
