  • Morning all, my new routine with DS seems to have worked, 6am this morning instead of 5 although he did wake briefly at 3.30 for a drink of milk - yawn!

    Thanks for all your helpful replies, RA thanks for the link, read briefly and made so much sense, will have a proper read when ds is napping later :D

    I am worried about approaching my doc again, won't they think I am an unfit Mum, what steps do they take if they think I am? I love my litte man so much and can't bear thinking what could happen?

    GC I will wait before visiting AA again, I did wonder if it was too soon for that.

    Just gotta decide whether to reduce rather than stop immediately now, seems there are differing opinions on the dangers of it. This morning I feel relatively ok, still got palpitations and feeling anxious and had a rubbish night's sleep, sweaty then cold, chest feeling tight all the time and super thirsty but at least I didn't have a drink yesterday :T

    Hope everyone who wanted to be AF yesterday managed it

    HB hope you have a clean and fluffy furry face this morning and shiny sparkly teeth :)

    I have followed your lead and written a spreadsheet to monitor myself.

    There are a couple of good things about my spreadsheet. Firstly, I can see the monhs I struggled - December and the Summer months! Secondly, I can now try and better what I did last year, month by month.

  • Shaggy that is a good idea, what format do you have for it, do you just record af days or do you add details of how you felt and stuff?

    My speadsheet is quite simple. First column is the date at the start of week. I then have 7 columns (Sun to Sat). I put the units I have each day in each of the columns daily. And then I have 2 total columns One for units. One for AFDs.

    Sometimes I have written notes about how I've felt but most days I just enter my figure for the day.

    HB I have to confess I hardly ever take my make up off at night, usually do it in the morning :o

    :naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty:

    Now this is very naughty :eek: Girls you must look after your skin. NO matter what - you should take your make-up off before you go to bed:cool:

    Stopping drinking can be a difficult affair.
    Adding a worry 'should I have gone to the doctors before stopping?' into the mix is only going to make it more difficult.
    Go to your doctor to put your mind at rest on this point.
    I think physically you'll be OK to just stop but that's just my unqualified opinion - go to the doctor.
    Good luck.
