Back from house hunting. Unfortunately the place was not for me. It wasn't very nice place  Anyway I had a nice afternoon with BF and did make some contacts with estate agents. I think I really need to find out which school DD is placed before really pushing the panic button on the house hunting.
Double AF challenge day 2:
- A house hunting
- F nice time with BF
Shaggy - day 2 in the bag please"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

hey all glad to see you are still working on things ... a wee bit of advice if you dont mind
hubby has told me (once again) that he wants to get on top of his drinking and be in control of it ... he doesnt want to give itup as he enjoys having a lovely cold lager on a sunny hot day ... but he wants to be in control of it (just now he really isnt)
he has went to see about counselling and is on a waiting list and he has had a hypnotherapy session ... can anyone suggest anything else he might try ?
thanks0 -
I am sure that others will be here soon with better advice but one thing would be to find out what the triggers are and then work a plan how to deal in those situations. For exactly if it is to relax after stressful day then find other things that are relaxing and that he can look forward. Also there is lots of sugar in alcohol and initially having someting sweet to eat/drink might help with that side. Just couple of ideas."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

thanks marru ... i have made sure i have plenty of sugary things in learned that the hard way lol ( it isnt his first time trying to get in control) the triggers ... well tbh he doesnt need any trigger (although i will give this further thought most deff) ...usually its something like .... i want a drink cause its tuesday or i want a drink cause its raining, i want a drink cause its dry etc etc ... oh and my personal favourite i want a drink cause you are working night shift .... that way its all my fault (but i aint taking that responsibilty)0

I have said this before here: It is easier to run toward something than to run away from something. Meaning that finding something that will fill the void that stopping drinking would create. I found it easier to instead of chanting: won't drink, won't drink to think what else is there that I can treat myself.
Also I used drink as an excuse of not tackling my todo list. Couldn't do anything when pickled. So I acknowledged this and told myself that it is ok to just sit down and relax and do nothing even if I am not drinking if that is really what I want/need to do."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
