What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

15 for me please, Shaggy - and please can I have a bunny?!!!! It is SO MOTIVATING when I see my 7 day rewards!!
Lovely sunny day here, back to work for me, but the end of this project is nigh - and then I can clean the house ... but I find that actually very satisfying!

Hello and great to have this lovely group of friends - Thanks for the personal message too. Chuffed to bits, my first AF free morning in MONTHS !!! Woo Hoo ! Didn't find it too difficult, but perhaps I'm on a high?
OK Shaggy, I'm going to commit to "paper" and give myself a target. I will try to get 6 AF days before the end of March, is this how it works? So, 1/12 so far ??
Have a good week everyone0 -

Good morning all!
13 for me please Shaggy! (I think, anyway, last count a bit!)
Maggiesoop - :j:jMornings after an AF night are great! I love being able to get on and do things without having to wait for the headache/dodgy stomach to subside! Well done you on getting through what we call "The Bells". Mine were clanging loudly at 4pm yesterday but busied myself tidying up etc and got through them.
Becks7 - sounds like you had a good weekend!:T Good luck on starting the diet today.
As I mentioned above, my bells were ringing very loudly yesterday about 4pm. Sundays at that time is really my danger time. Am busy cooking sunday dinner, Come Dine With Me on in the background and I always thing "one glass would be nice". But its never one glass with me! So I got through it and by 7pm I was really grateful I resisted. Had a whole evening to do stuff without getting more and more drunk.:T

Hi Everyone
17 Af please Shaggy
The bells you heard Miss P were also ringing loud and clear up in Scotland around the same time.....as im off on holiday this week i was so tempted to open a bottle around dinner time, but like you i just kept busy. Im glad today i didnt cave in as it would have triggered a holiday week of drinking me thinks...this week will be a challenge, ive got a girly night out planned for thurs so other than that hoping to stay AF
Have a good day y'allIt’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -
A big thanks to everyone who sent supportive messages. I realise it's early day(s) but I did a big shop this morning and smiled broadly when I swanned passed the wine/spirits isles full of smugness. Long may it last. If nothing else, my bill was at least a tenner less!:j0

14 AFD, please. I get a bunny:j. Went swimming this morning, which I can't do after drinking. It would be a shame to go to all the effort of exercising then drink all those calories! Beautiful day here and I am feeling very motivated. I too try to busy myself past the bell, it only rings for a hour.
Good luck all. x0 -
Hi everyone. Im a newbie to posting on here, but am hoping to get the support from you guys I much need. I finally went to see my GP this morning and admitted I have a drink problem. I was given a number for my addiction unit, and am now waiting for an appt for an assessment. Feels a relief to finally seek help, but I am worried sick and petrified of what it will all entail. Please be gentle with me, and I hope I can in some way be a help to you guys too. x0
