    Afternoon all

If anyones offering, I need a huge hug. My Mums been taken into hospital. She had an angiogram this morning, suffered pain during it and they've found she has narrowing heart valves. They are operating Monday to put stents in. She had major heart attack xmas day 2000 and we nearly lost her, so this is really shaking me up.

Holding it together at moment for Piglets sake. I know its probably a really common procedure but anything to do with my Mum scares the hell out of me.:(

Sat here now waiting for OH to finish work so I can go up and see her.

All the hugs in the world coming your way MissP :A Hopefully you can get up to the hospital ASAP. You'll feel so much better when you've seen her.

    P.S. Keep us posted.
  • Hugs Miss P, hope everything goes ok for your mum x
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
  • Hope all's OK Miss P

  • Thank you all.

Just got back from hospital. She's fine. Waiting to hear from consultant about whats happening. Wired up to lots of machines but fine in herself (moaning about hospital food:)). I've been given a list of things she needs doing over the weekend, so I should be kept busy!

Apparently the stent thing is really common...just scares me because of the whole previous heart attack thing.

Anyway, I'm off to find something to eat. Thank you all again. You're all stars :)

That's really good news MissP. As your mum has a history of heart problems it's good that they're able to do this op as a preventative measure so that nothing similar happens again. I somehow guessed she would have some things for you to do on her behalf. It'll do you good to keep busy. What about your brother is he OK, haven't heard much of him since you stopped the mopping job?

Have a good night's sleep, you need the energy.

Planned weekend drniking tonight but moderate again. Might even have an AF night tomorrow:).

Hi Miss P.....glad your Mum is getting sorted & is in the right place to get this fixed. I appreciate the worry as my Mum has similar bouts too.

Hope you get a good nights sleep Hun.

Hope everyone is doing well with your AF-ness. Its tough this time of year but be strong & cut down where you can. Even one drink less is a great achievement....so good luck.

My second AFmas coming up....I still have the odd twinge of temptation & still deal a day at a time.

    Have a great weekend folks.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
