Just sneaking back in from holiday. I didn't see YM when crossing the channel although I looked out for him. It can't be long before the virtual stag night. Time he got the invitations out!

:T:T:T:D Miss P's back! Sorry you've been having a bad time (hope it's nothing to do with those horrible inlaws:mad:).

I've had a quick catch-up but probably missed lots. Good to see you posting Budgie, sorry life isn't too special for you at the moment. Do come on here for a chat if it helps. Glad you've been diagnosed properly at last cazza. It's no wonder you've been so uncomfortable. Hope you feel even better in the morning. Hugs to you HB, RL sounds tough for you a the moment. Glad to hear you're sleeping well RN, (I'm envious) any advice for diversion tactics planned for early evening I'd like to hear about.

Well done everyone who's clocking up AF days. I notice you're quietly doing very well Shaggy :D and you're still sticking at it jo. I found your busy weekend mysterious, surely you weren't that excited about Mr T's and washing:p

I have to confess I haven't had another AF day since I went to France BUT I have been drinking moderately. I've now found that I can share a bottle in a restaurant with no panic at all, drink lots of water in between. That and a few G&T aperitifs has been about it. Oh and I forgot about a couple of vin chauds, but the temperature did plummet while I was away:o.

Back on the wagon tonight, no bells.

    2Af please Shaggy.

    'night all.

Nothing mysterious here Maman, just loving being sober. Been sober before but always miserable, this time, just feel like I've missed out on so much and want to grab it before it disappears, if that makes sense. Can't even express how happy I am, there aren't words that can describe it. Honest.

Caz, so pleased you have found out what was wrong and hopefully you'll be all better within the next few days. Thanks for the PM, sorry not had time to respond, I will do, just need to get 5 minutes peace! xx

Morning everyone else, I know I posted my AF days last night but let me do it again cos it looks so very cool :

    2 please Pen
    9 please Shaggy
    24 consecutive days sober :D

  • Morning all!

:j Jo! You are doing so brilliantly. Don't know what your lightbulb moment was but its fantastic to hear you sounding so positive. :)

Welcome back Maman! And congratulations on the whole moderation thing. Something I hope to have a handle on at some point in my life!;)

Starting work early today as have to finish early to go to a funeral. Its of a work colleague. I've known him since I started with this company over 12 years ago. He's recently died from cancer aged 66. Was still working as he planned to retire withing next couple of years and move abroad to his daughters so was saving money like mad. Now that will never happen and that makes me feel very sad. Makes you feel you have to live life for the NOW really doesn't it?

So better get a shifty on. Piglets packed lunch already done. He's loving school but has had a few problems in the last week which I think I sorted out yesterday. Being a parent is hard, heartbreaking work sometimes. But it feels good when you make a child happy by removing a problem for them :)

    Have good mornings all!

    Miss P
    xx

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
