Ragdoll I don't want to appear unsupportive but this is a money saving forum and maybe you need to talk to a doctor?

Shaggy, isn't that a bit harsh, Ragdoll is trying to come to terms with her drinking after all.

    That is crackers!

    I agree with RN.

Shaggy - That doesn't make sense, and it is also rather rude.

This specific discussion forum 'thread' is regarding booze / cutting it down / giving it up, and 'Ragdoll' is posting for help with her drinking.

Ragdoll - Hope you're keeping well, and feeling a lot better today.

    Keep posting here!

  • PS -

I love it when people say "I don't want to appear unsupportive but...." meaning that they know damn well that they *are being* unsupportive.. Yet they go ahead and continue to be unsupportive anyway! I've never understood that.

    Ragdoll -

    You have my wholehearted support.

Hope you're having a good morning.

  • Thank-you Sim and Randomname

    I appreciate your support.

Sim, I'm actually feeling rather good. Glad to be taking the bull by the horns and doing something about it. :) I know there may be times when I fall down, but as long as I learn by my mistakes then I'm happy.

I've decided I need to find things to do in those times when I would normally reach for a drink. I went swimming with a friend on Tuesday and she has agreed to go twice a week with me. Maybe a fitness plan will change my attitude to drink and what it does to me?

    Thanks again

    Morning all,

I didn't read shaggy's post as rude, I think other posters in the past have directed newbies to see gp's if they have bigger health concerns than a hangover from drinking. Shaggy as is almost everyone on here very supportive and although we are all dong battle with the demon drink there are different levels of this problem.

The fact that we all recognise there is a problem is why we are all on this thread, and what a wonderful place it is.

That's all folks, time to do some more work.. :D
