Oh crap, just found £5 in my coat pocket, usually this would be a good thing. God please give me the strength to not buy beer. Can't face it at the moment, but once I've eaten my marks lunch it will change.
By the way, just cos I started this thread, doesn't mean its my diary you know...you can all contribute :P

Pen, I don't pay on london transport cos OH works for them
Marru, thought that'd be too obvious :rotfl:
Well, I'm gonna have the best day ever!!
I bought, fresh white farmhouse bread and chipolata sausages for lunch  THEN crispy duck with pancakes and all the trimmings for me and DD1 as a starter tonight followed by chicken chow mein for her and beef shanghai noodles for me , mighty meaty pasta for the kids (doesnt sound exciting but its their fav), a pack of sweets each for them as a treat and...drum roll please...4 of those choklit melt in the middle puddings that was on the advert and fresh custard for afties
You will be impressed as I spent over my gift card balance so I no longer have the fiver (this was done on purpose ). I have £2.83 change which isn't enough to buy beer as I wouldn't buy less than 4 cans as this would send me into blind panic.
Would you believe that next to the sandwiches and soft single drinks, they had a plastic sealed wine glass full of chardonnay  no wonder we are all in the state we're in and alcoholism is such a problem in this country. These corporations should be ashamed of themselves!

Jo, the guy responsible for those wine glasses was on the dragons den spin off thing with thingy Ballantyne last night. They'd not funded him but he'd carried on and got Marks to stock them. He's hoping for great things, apparently, because if they don't sell well, he's losing his house!
I was AF last night, but feeling a bit tired today as DD came and woke me up at 6.30 - why can't little kids work out the difference between weekdays and weekends???Trying to keep in budget.

You're obviously all just really jealous, that's why you're ignoring me!!
I must admit that my purchases weren't very MSE and would probably be kicked out of the OS thread....but, whatever...

Jo I don't like the thought of you taking the trouble to tell us of your luncheon and dining arrangement and feeling you are being ignored. I had a bowl of homemade veg soup and a cheese and tomato sandwich earlier and for tea OH will be preparing a chicken birriani. Please note I will never again be dragged into the great food debate.
Seriously, good luck to you on being af tonight.Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Afternoon all!
Jo - your tea sounds amazing. I want some!!!! And I think your gas man should have been MADE to look at sparkly cooker!:D
I too went to M&S earlier but all I bought was walnut whips for OH:rotfl:. Bit of a stressy trip as Piglet had been given a balloon on a stick by some charity people, and managed to knock two bottles of wine off a shelf!:eek:Luckily shelf was close to floor and I swear those bottles bounced! Phew! He was in tears though thinking he was in trouble. Poor little soul!:(
Off out for dinner tonight....gonna go and drool over the beefeater menu now....
Miss P
