  • Right.

I am in a hole, i don't like what i see in the mirror, i don't like the person I have become.

I'm not a bad person but I keep messing up.

When I stopped housedrinking not all that long ago I felt ten times better about everything.

I'm not saying I will never drink in the flat again, but I am hereby avoiding shorts and more specifically vodka.

    And that's it for now

    Thanks all

They'll increase my ESA from £64 per week, to about £90 per week, which is going to be a huge help with bills.

DWP will also backdate the difference, back to the 14th week of my appeal = about £850.00.

To say I'm over the moon about everything today, is again an understatement.

I am absolutely thrilled for you Sim, so many people get extra money this way, but it seems to me that it's rarely the people who deserve it (i.e. my neighbour with the 42" TV, posh new garden and Next catalogue account ;)). So at last, a just decision has been made.

No more moneyshop Sim, get yourself straight so then at least you don't have anything to worry about on that front and then slowly get all the other bits into place :) xx

  • Hi Trasi

I was mainly following the old style moneysaving forum and realised there were so many other forums too. That’s when I found this one and have been reading for a few months now.

    Thanks Debs

Same old same old here. After feeling really chirpy last night, I carried on drinking and ended up grumpy, picky and nasty. And woke up this morning with those horrible remorseful feelings (accompanied by stinking headache). Makes my OH's life a misery.

So I'm going AF for a while. Don't know how long I'll manage but I'm going to give it a good go. My family is more important than a bottle of wine. :o

Sim - forgot to say congratulations on the hearing!!:T Jo's given you some good advice there.

Maman - I think eating out is the only thing thats hard on SW. Thats why I'm not worrying about what I eat too much tonight. Will prob go for steak, jacket potato and salad. Other than that I find the plan quite easy to stick to. I'm doing green days as I love pasta, rice and potatos!

Okay so the decision I made yesterday morning of 'I'm not drinking today' didn't work for me....so I'm going to go with my original hour at a time thing and see what happens...

I didn't leave it at one in the end last night and was too embarrassed to post that last night so feel like utter !!!!!! this morning, v. much regret this obviously, particularly as I had to clean my oven at 11pm last night which is ridiculous, this is all due to drinking. If I wasn't drinking I would've done it at 6pm when I got in and would've been able to sit down and relax.

Today is a fresh new day, a lovely sunny (at the moment) day and although I feel like utter !!!!!!, in my head I am fine, no worries at all, no reason at all to drink today.

Waiting for the gas bloke to come....8am - 1pm....you just know it's gonna be 12.59pm don't ya! :rotfl:
