Everyone seems to think this phone is cracking and the "deal of the year". My wife got an amazing deal on Orange. She paid £79 for the phone and was able to move the included £10 credit to her bill. She then pays (as a SIM only deal) £12.50 per month for 600xnet minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data. Mad. I'm quite jealous as they won't offer me that. However I'm thinking of going for the Desire HD.

Can anyone tell me if this would work, once unlocked, on the 3 network? I'm stuck on a contract with 3 with a rubbish phone!

It is 3G so no reason it wouldn't.

Friend's got one he's using on 3. Working like a breeze. Had to install skype-on-three app separately, and my3 too.

I've just pre-ordered a white one from Plaay.com (due for release 16th Dec) but I've been reading that the white phone comes with an LCD/TFT screen and not an OLED screen. In fact I've read that all San Francioscos will now have LCD/TFT screens. I do hope this will not be the case. Plaay.com have it advertised as an OLED at the moment - so I just hope this is correct!
