Orange San Francisco?
Comments
-
Hi All,
I've just been to my local orange shop and looked at the san fransisco and LOVED it!!
Only prob is that I'm with O2....now I've looked at other links and seen that people are saying it can be unlocked...however wondered if anyone here has actually had it unlocked successfully?
Also are there any potential issues with unlocking phones - can they still be repaired if break / could it stop anything from working etc?
Also my local phone repair place that unlocks phones said that they may be able to unlock it for me but they need to know the model number for it - does anyone know this so I can speak to them before buying the phone?
Cheers!0 -

I wouldn't get too excited. There are likely to be a raft of good low-cost Android phones coming out over the next few months from ZTE, Huewai, HTC etc. Once OLED production volumes rise I would think prices will be around the £50 mark, and of course speed and performance will gradually improve over time.0

Thanks for the advice...maybe I will try and hold on before buying then!0

Id love to know how easy/cheaply these can be unlocked. I want to be able to use it on giffgaff, was waiting for a LG optimums one (or something like that) to come out in october but this looks a good deal to me----giffgaff has unlimited internet for £10 a month(as well as 100mins and unlimited texts) so would like to use phone on this (they run on o2 network)0

LG Optimus? Thats been out for about 2 months on O2. Selling for about £99 at most places.
This San Frans does look pretty good for the money. I wish I had waited before plumping for the T-Mobile Pulse mini back in June/July. There have been a plethora of Android phones out since for the same money of varying specs. But this has to be the best yet. I would hold out until xmas time before getting any more phones as there will no doubt be more handsets and discounts by then.0 -
sorry meant the lg optimus one, newer version with capacitive (?sp) screen that is supposed to be coming out in october, they also have a optimus chic coming out in november apparently. I am upgrading from an old basic phone with wap so any android is going to be better than what I have but I dont want to be in that siuation of kicking myself for not waiting a month for a much better phone to come out...although I know that tends to happen anyway0

There are now ways of unlocking this on Modacco and HUKD. I've just ordered mine over the phone on Orange - got it for £80 because I'm a current PAYG customer. Bought one at the weekend for full price but my husband has nabbed it for himself - doh!Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0
