  • So If I got one of these on Orange PAYG, I could get it unlocked to use on Virgin Pay Monthly???

Can some one who has one tell me if there are any restrictions with the calendar and if you can add notes to it?
  • Yes to your 1st Question.
No idea to your 2nd as I ain't got one yet.
  • or could you just by it on PAYG and then port the number to another non-orange service (and cover up the Orange logo with paint...lol!)

How does that work? You port it, lose any remaining credit and when you put a non Orange sim in it with your number on it doesn't work in the phone?

The Orange logo cover-up is easy enough mind.

Is that rubbing it with a sugar cube?

    I don't know - that's why I'm asking if it will work?

Obviously I'd use the £10 credit first!

It won't, it's just like sticking in a O2 et al sim now- you still need it unlocked. Only on a certain number of locked phones do other sims work- for example T-Mobile/Virgin as it is the same network.

If you did this you'd have a O2 sim and number and when you request a port, you phone Orange get a PAC, give this PAC to O2 who replace the number on the O2 sim with your old Orange one. Your Orange sim then becomes inactive and will say so when put in the phone and if you phone is still locked then the O2 sim still won't work.

    Now I'm getiing confused.

I buy the hand set, I use the £10 top up, I get it unlocked, I port the number to Virgin.

Is there anything stopping me doing this, ie is there anything in the T&Cs that says you have to spend a certain amount or time with Orange before you port your number?
    I can't see anything myself?
