WHAT??? I typed out a long reply then all lost. GRRRRR

In a shorter nutshell.....Scenario: I come back from holiday, someone is squatting in my house. I break my own window to feign forced entry and call 999 stating that I think the burglar is still in the house and I don;t want to enter because I'm scared and I might disturb evidence. Mr Plod turn up, my friend films the whole encounter.... how on earth can the police then act as though the burglar has squatters rights? (the power of video-phones nowadays cannot be understimated).
  • fimonkey : “Interesting point,.... talking about squatter here, and not late/non rent payers, .. could you do this? Would be interesting ...because surely once you're living back in your own house (with the squatters) you could then change the locks??”

Yes you can do this and here’s an example of it that happened recently :

    (2) Squatters demand £3,000 from family to leave home
A family today told how they were locked out by squatters after leaving their north London home for three days.
The owner “climbed through the window and confronted them. They became quite aggressive and ordered me to leave.” He added: “An Englishman's home is his castle and although I'm old, I wasn't going to be bullied. I threw their stuff out of my bedroom and set up base there. They carried on smoking and drinking and inviting friends over. They acted like hooligans.” The squatters left on Monday after a five-day stay. Mr Ahmed said: “I was so angry with police. It was obvious that the back and front doors had been forced and we had all the documents to prove the house was ours.”

No, India, China and Africa are great places to send home grown and foreign crims and bums to as they’re so cheap. Sooo CHEAP!!! We could have huge prisons at a hundredth the price and lock up all the wrong’uns. It would be great. You should look into it, it’ll only take you a bit of research to find out how fantastically cheap everything is over there.

If everyone started thinking like you, it will not be long before countries like North Korea; Iran; and Pakistan who are accused of exporting terrorism will claim that they have too much of it and as "western countries lack terror" they are sending us some out of the goodness of their heart and their love for us! You should look into it, it will only take you a bit of research to find out that these countries have been accused of "exporting terrorism" and the kind of havoc terrorism causes over here! do you need reminding about 9/11 or closer to home 7/7?!

Oh wait, you probably don't need to do research cause according to you they are they just sending home grown and foreign terrorists to us cause there is an abundance of them there?
Oh, that’s interesting, so you can get treatment for racism, can you?

I was referring to your "mental handicap" but seems like you are beyond help

Thanks for the suggestion of “serious help” but being a rich successful person I already help myself, but thanks for the suggestion, I’ll bear it in mind. But right now I’m off to help myself to some more of my riches and success, pip pip!!!

I take this is the same rich you who posted this a while ago "Can anyone please tell me, which I think it surely is, if it is illegal and against benefits regulations and against government policy for the jobcentre to force me to take a relatively low paid job which will pay less than half the amount of benefits which I am currently receiving .... the flat is ex council in a high crime rate ghetto " [https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1055679

Yes I hear sponging off benefits was a very lucrative career till recently... seems like you might be in a bit of trouble now that dear old Labour are out of power and the benefits are going to be capped!

    .

Oh dear, you appear to have completely missed the point that this thread is about squatters breaking into people's houses when they're out for the weekend or out while they're having building work done etc. There's no connection with terrorism!

Well yet again, as you do so often on this forum, you indulge in your inarticulate rudeness. You're a rather nasty unpleasant stupid crass little twit with a severe attitude problem and acute personality disorder, aren't you. But a byproduct of your nastiness is that it gives me pleasure to ring your bell and get low quality people like you jumping up and down. However, this forum is for intelligent informed debate, not for the likes of you to try to expatiate your personal inadequacy, angst, unhappiness, unpleasantness, rudeness etc. So as you have nothing intelligent or worthwhile to say to add to this important debate perhaps you could do us all a favour and go and play in the road with the cars.

this forum is for intelligent informed debate

    I am so sorry I didn't realise
“Surely most criminals in the UK are British so where would you deport them to?!?”

To China, India and Africa, of course, where it costs ten pence a day instead of the, what, £30k a year that taxpayers are currently stumping up per head of evil scum thug.

and racism is an intelligent informed debated, maybe if I read the Daily Mail I would have known better...

As for the comment you made about about this being a thread about people breaking in (which you subsequently amended), I see that relationships and teaching kids about ebaying has all to do with it
I’d also have relationship and marriage classes taught to all teenagers in school and I’d require all people to take a competence and fitness and financial test before being allowed to have kids. You have to pass a driving test before you’re let loose on the roads but currently millions of grossly unfit people produce millions of grossly unfit kids and the cycle keeps repeating and taxpayers have to pay for a lot of it and decent citizens are being attacked, mugged, burgled and defrauded at will by hordes of backward unevolved barbarian knuckle draggers. I’d have all kids at school taught to do buying and selling on ebay, amazon, loot, car boot sales and market stalls so that they’ve all got a chance of earning some money instead of millions of them having to go on the dole and or turn to crime as is currently the case.

As I am incapable of engaging in an "intelligent debate" (or should that be pro-Daily Mail, pro-racist debates?) I will refrain!

Sadly your powers of reasoning leave a lot to be desired. It is true that imprisonment of both home grown British crims and all the imported foreign ones would be a lot cheaper if it was outsourced to India, China and or Africa where everything is cheaper and there is nothing "racist" about saying that.

Whether or not the Daily Mail has an agenda or is not to some people's taste or sometimes lies and makes mistakes is irrelevant to the fact that most of what they report is as accurate and true as what is carried by The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The BBC, The Telegraph, Reuters and most newspapers and most news agencies.

On that account, you should NOT be going up in arms when back office functions like IT services are outsourced?! With Polish folks being employed to do a job that they are willing to do for a lot less! With redundancies made by say the post office because of automation! You should also not have an issue with a pure capitalist view of the world, which means no benefits for you!

whilst also stretching my mental muscles

you need to have muscles to be able to stretch them... unfortunately, you don't seem to have any mental muscles to stretch... good night!
