I wish my OH would 'need' to buy me an expensive, exciting gift once in a while (28 years & still hoping) :o
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

This made me smile - I have a list permanently attached to the side of the fridge for my OH who 'never knows what to get me'

    It lists:

    Books
    Velvet scarfs
    Samsara or Idylle perfum
Ortak, Ola Gorie or Sheila Fleet jewellery (tho I WILL go as far as putting up a pic with the code - or he asks DD what piece I want :D)
    Theatre tickets
    Lush stuff
    Candles
    Simons cat book
    Vintage jewellery

The list was in response to being told a few years back that I 'HAVE' to tell him what I want; whereas I like a surprise.... so he just chooses from the list safely knowing I'll be happy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I don't want for much, we have a fex luxuries and we can afford to treat ourselves eery now and then so I have most things material wise I want. I think mostly I just want my children to have a brilliant christmas and give them memories they will cherish for a long time and of course those toys they have to have because it's the ones their friends will be getting lol.

Hubby is getting me a sat nav, which is lovely but I dont often drive to areas I don't know. I would prefer him to choose but he never gets me anything I like, I like my little luxuries but he doesn't often get it right bless him. He does well if I give him a list or drop a few hints. For our anniversaryhe bought me an ipod docking station clock radio (dont worry, not an expensive one) which I havent used as it isnt compatible with the new generation ipods so he uses it now bless him, mind you he did buy me the ipod for my birthday so he did very well there :)
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff

I came up with my list as I dont want for anything really either - so had to think about the luxuries in life that I dont buy for myself.... It sounds like xmas in your house is a bit like ours - its a big/mad affair but my 'little un' is now 18 so not quite as much fun to buy for!!

To me it doesnt sound like you really want a sat nav. If thats the case just tell him. Im sure he'd love to buy you something to put a BIG smile on your face. (I have gone as far as chosing a ring and getting the code and handing it to OH, saying happy xmas to me lol):rotfl::rotfl:

  • I have started my list, but its mostly for little bits here and there as I think of them. I usually really struggle to think of things I want/need at christmas. Im off to NY on 15th Dec-23rd so will probably ask for money off my parents so I can treat myself to something in NYC (depending on how the saving is going!).
  • Well have had to think long and hard and to be honest there is nothing I really want except for to see my 3 little ones (or not so little now!) have smiles on there faces and enjoy there xmas, and like all there presents.

If anyone does get me anything after the last few years I wish people would buy me vouchers, especially when they try buying you clothes that don't fit.
