just checked mine too, mine just says ISA Saver also
Mine sayd "Halifax ISA saver" on the "My Accounts" page but when I click to go into it, then it says "<MyName> ISA Direct Reward 3 Enquiry only service".
Is that what you get also?
So I'm wondering if folks are looking at the wrong thing.

Mine has finally changed to a ISA Direct Reward 3 (on Recent Transactions page) - took some time... It displays Halifax ISA Saver on My Accounts page.
My certificate only refers to an ISA Saver which I find a little worrying....

These are the same stages ours went through.

In a few days' time you should get yet another certificate through and this should say ISA Direct Reward 3.

I understand that completes the re-designation process!

    ISA transfer complete!

22 Sept: Applied for account online even though I have already invested in this year's ISA pot.
24 Sept: ISA account opened and listed online
28 Sept: Post ISA transfer form to Halifax
30 Sept: Halifax send a letter to say they have started the ISA transfer process from Nationwide
4 Oct: ISA disappears from Nationwide internet banking
7 Oct: ISA appears in Halifax!!

Very efficient if I must say so. Except, it seems the formula Halifax are using to work out "available to invest" is wrong:
abs(£5100 - ISA transfer amount) = big number.

When is the 3/2.8% ISA rate likely to be withdrawn by the Halifax?

I currently have all my ISA savings with First Direct which has a 3% rate until 9.11.10. I'm wondering whether I should wait until the end of October before starting the transfer process to the Halifax, as the transfer has to be done within 60 days of opening the Halifax ISA but the offer could have been withdrawn by then.

If FD and Halifax accept part-transfers, you could move £1 of a previous year's subscription to Halifax, then move the rest at a later date?

Do you have a Halifax current account? If so, then there's no difference in the rates, so I'd put a transfer request in asap. This means that even if that banks take ages to sort it out, you'll be getting two lots of 3% for the longest period of time (less risk of the FD rate going back to 0.x% during that time).

Otherwise glider's suggestion above seems pretty good (although branch staff may think you are a little eccentric when you hand in a transfer form for £1!).

I would be surprised if they withdraw it any time soon. Halifax don't have a habit of bringing out good rates and then cutting them a couple of weeks later. I expect it to stay until February next year when they bring out their ISA season rates.

The Halifax have done an 'upgrade' on my existing ISA so that I am on version 3 rather than 2 or 1. I do wonder if those that are on version 1 or 2 are aware of the third option given the time between annual statements ? I am a very satisfied customer of The Halifax!

Halifax may have botched a bit of their ISA advertising when they say:-

    ISA Direct Reward
Unlimited withdrawals during 12 month period
Unlimited number of deposits up to 5100 this year.

Ideally this would be the case, perhaps others can pick holes in this.
