i have 2cats and i love them both to pieces but i could not compare loosing them to my children.very sad tho it is we can all look back and say what if but we are human after all and humans make mistakes.

I did not have over 20 cats at one time. I said over the years - read it properly - and yes they were all wormed, deflead, vacinated, neutered etc etc.

Of course we make mistakes but killing a cat in a washing machine is not a mistake
