I have just been accepted for this and have been told to access my account and do my first survey, can anyone tell me how long it takes to receive the first survey
    Thanks

When you log into your account there should be an option for BULK SURVEY. Click on that option and the click on START NEW SURVEY. If there is no BULK SURVEY option, you need to contact OC to get telephone surveys enabled for your account. If, you click on START NEW SURVEY and there are no surveys it means there are no surveys for the particular client you have been enabled for - in that case contact OC by e-mail to see if there are any other clients that surveys could be enabled for on your account.

Can someone tell me, if the customer's wife or husband answers the phone and the customer is not there , are you allowed to say who you are and what you are ringing for, or just say you will call back another time without saying anything else?

Sorry if that question sounds a bit silly! :o

That is actually a very good question! Nowadays, if I am doing a survey that could be construed as 'private' for only one named individual, I tend to say my name and ask or the person by name. Very often it will have been the spouse who answers and they sometimes DEMAND to know who you are and why you are calling. I tend to say I am calling on behalf of XXXXX to do a customer satisfaction survey. Only when I get through to the named individual do I say I am calling on behalf of Optimum Contact - it saves time and most people cannot remember three pieces of information (ie my name, OC and OC's client).

When calling a business I tend to say up front exactly what the call is about, in the hope they will direct me to the correct person (which is often not the person mentioned on the survey)

I have been accepted b optimum and got my password etc and downloaded Pamela. If you need more then one Skype account will Pamela work with either of them and record the calls.

I do not really know - I do not use Pamela
How then do you email the calls recorded by Pamela to Optimum?

You will have to use the 'attach' feature in your e-mail client to attach the files to your e-mail (assuming Pamela does not have an e-mail option within its software)

hey say that if the customer hasn't got time to do the survey on the phone offer the website option, what is the website address you are meant to offer? is it Optimums website address?

It is actually the e-mail address of the person you are calling, but I am not sure that it is available at the moment (even though it appears on the survey). You had better check with OC!

    Yes, that is correct.
  • I have just tried a test and sent an email from my main accout to my hotmail account. I attached 50 media files each 226.4 KB and it worked ok. I don't know how many KB an average 8 minute interview would contain can anyone enlighten me on that?

I have also sent an email to Optimum and asked if it would be possible to send an email per recording. When I spoke to them on Monday they didn't seem to bothered whether you sent them an email for each recording or a consolidated one.

I think 10MB fe-maillattachment size is ok for receipt by Optimum Contact.

The size of any file depends on the bit rate and any compression used. Most surveys will be longer than 8 minutes.

That is good to know. I assume you want to send a recording after each survey?

I am sure there must be lots available as freeware. The free version of Pamela is limited to 15 minutes record time, which is not enough. Can you provide a link for TRX?
