Telephone Survey Work with Optimum Contact

Well I managed to have a go today and completed my first telephone survey with the client but part way through the call Pamela stopped working so only got the first few minutes of the call recorded. Really disappointed with that and now Pamela keeps crashing on me so not looking good. I would advise anyone to check that Skype and Pamela are working correctly before you start making calls. Back to the drawing board for me :-(0

Maybe keep things simple, and just email them rather than register again -

Joe,
Maybe you could try having a look at this recording software instead, which another MSE poster kindly pointed out (page 12 of this thread) -

Thanks to Nickv1.0 for this0 -

Thanks to Nickv1.0 for this
Thanks for that, I will give it a try0 -
Guys, I was going to change my phone provider, from Plusnet to Talk Talk, in order to get the 0845 free calls (Plusnet ended up charging me to call OC's 0845 number, even after they'd promised the wouldn't!)
However, Nickv1.0 has just kindly PM'd me (thanks Nick!) and pointed out that Skype has no daily 'cap' on calls
This is a huge relief, if it's the case. However, I thought Skype had a 50 call per day limit.
Can anyone else confirm either way?
I was looking at the Skype 'Unlimited Europe' package at £5.74 per month.

Scrub that!
I meant the Unlimited UK package at £4.59 per month -

I could've sworn that Skype had a 50 call daily cap before.
Hoping it's changed!0 -
B_ugger.
Just found this -
http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/legal/terms/fair_usage/
Fair Usage Policy
Calls to phones and mobiles and Skype To Go* calls are included in your subscription subject to a fair usage limit of 10,000 minutes per user per month, with a maximum of 6 hours per day. Also, no more than 50 different numbers in total can be called per day. If your subscription includes more than one country, then this is the total amount of minutes allowed per month on your account, and is not a separate limit for each country.
Once these limits are exceeded Skype will charge normal rates and a connection fee for any additional minutes used. Subscriptions are for individual use only. Each subscription is to be used by one person only and is not to be shared with any other user (whether via a PBX, call centre, computer or any other means).0 -

I know the free version of Pamela is restricted to 15 minutes of recording and this is not enough, if you get a talkative client!
I will try and experiment over the weekend with other voip recording software and a cheaper alternative to Skype.0 -
I've just been very blonde.
I successfully setup my Skype 'Unlimited UK Landline Calls' package for £4.58 on my iMac.
Have just made a couple of calls to landlines, and all is fine
Didn't even need my headset, as I can use my mic / speakers built into my Mac.
HOWEVER, I've only just realised that the call recording software that Nickv1.0 posted about on page 12 of this thread, is for PC only! :-(
Anyone know of a Mac compatible equivalent please?
Many Thanks
Sim.
PS - Wish I'd set up Skype on my PC now instead of the Mac :-/0
