Look whatever your experiences are with doing surveys on O.C is your own business but im not in the business of lying to people. I dont work at the moment due to ill health so therefore am devoting my time to O.C and certainly arnt going to make up a figure of the ammount of surveys or ammount of cash ive made doing the surveys just to impress people.

A lot of the numbers arnt unobtainable at all! Yes you do get quite a few people saying they havent got time or arnt interested in completing one but patience is the virtue and by the sounds of it you dont have any what so ever

I have to agree with this. Although I haven't done telephone survey work for OC, I have worked in an outbound call centre doing consumer surveys and I did quite well from it! We got paid hourly as well as commisson for leads, I would normally get an extra £60 a month for this.

Patience is a virtue and you will alsway get people who hang up or aren't interested but you may get a day where the first 5 calls complete the survey. It is a numbers game when it comes down to it.

I have plenty of patience thank you! Lol.

And the post I've quoted above illustrates my point somewhat - this person made £60 a month doing consumer surveys, which is very different from £130+ a week!

And Nickv1.0 - why so touchy?

PS - and I wasn't saying you were making up figures to impress people, I'm saying you and paul are actually involved with OC in a larger capacity than just survey work!

But to put me straight - can anyone apart from paul varjak and Nickv1.0 confirm they've managed to get a decent amount of surveys completed from OC?

I'm not saying you haven't, just that patience is a virtue esp with telephone work which can be very frustrating.

Not sure you read my post properly, I got paid an hourly rate AS WELL as getting commisson so the £60 a month was extra, sometimes it was less sometimes it was more but I always got paid, it was not just for commission.

Touchy???? I arnt being touchy what so ever im barely stating facts.

I cant speak for Paul as I dont know the guy but I can hand on heart say the only involvement I have with O.C is doing Surveys nothing more nothing less.

I'm sorry but I've worked for OC and gave it up after 2 months as I was barely getting one survey completed an hour. People just don't want to take surveys.

If you approach people in the same manner as you approach them here, that does not surprise me.

So I don't believe these two people that claim they manage to complete over 10 surveys an hour!

No-one has ever claimed to do 10 surveys/hour. Maybe you have a problem with English comprehension?

    The surveys are £?.?? each.

One type of survey pays that amount. Five other types pay more.

ts impossible to make £130 a week. Not when you're only woeking 30 or so hours...

I earned over £180 in 30 hours this week!

If you have a problem with English comprehension, I suggest survey work is not for you!

Maybe you need some training in arithmetic too?

Why are you interested? You said that YOU cannot make the money YOU want. Why should it bother YOU what others earn?

I'm signed up with OC but have not done the telephone calls yet as I find the script too long however, I have recently been asked to do some satisfaction surveys at work and I do find that people are willing to complete the surveys so I do wholeheartedly believe Paul and Nick can earn decent amounts doing the hours they do.

You can shorten the script (Well I have and never had any complaints with my recordings) to make it easier. As long as you get the important bits in (Call will be recorded, Calling from O.C on behalf of ....) You dont have to read it word for word.

Telephone survey work is not suited to everyone. Firstly, there is the consideration of cost of making calls; some people may not have access to the cheapest call providers. But the most important consideration is whether you, as a person, are suited to the work?

Personally, I like speaking on the phone and if I was not working on the phone I would still find someone to chat to. Secondly, having an interest in 'customer service' is important too. It also helps a lot if you have an interest in the products/services provided to the customer by the company you are doing the survey for.

Optimum Contact gave me a job when I had little chance of finding a job in the usual job market. I was 54 years old, disabled and on Incapacity Benefit. I had little purpose to my life. I have now been self-employed for three years, engaged for one and even live in a property that I own! Six years ago, I never thought any of that was remotely possible!

That is why I am happy to promote Optimum Contact here.

Awww Paul that is so lovely to hear. Things were really bad for me for 18 months but things are starting to pick up although my temporary contract at work is due to run out and I have been told that it won't be extended as the money just isn't there so I'm looking for other alternatives.
