  • I've just been very blonde.

I successfully setup my Skype 'Unlimited UK Landline Calls' package for £4.58 on my iMac.

Have just made a couple of calls to landlines, and all is fine :)

Didn't even need my headset, as I can use my mic / speakers built into my Mac.

HOWEVER, I've only just realised that the call recording software that Nickv1.0 posted about on page 12 of this thread, is for PC only! :-(

Anyone know of a Mac compatible equivalent please?

    Many Thanks

    Sim.

PS - Wish I'd set up Skype on my PC now instead of the Mac :-/

I use http://www.ecamm.com/mac/callrecorder/ on my Mac - records automatically into a set folder, hides in the background as well.

    You're a star! Thanks :)

Having a look at the ecamm site now.

I might just go ahead and order the full version, so I'm all set for tomorrow.

Could you please confirm that it will definitely record calls, from my Mac to landlines, via the current version of Skype for Mac?

    Cheers,

    Sim.
  • PS - Just seen on the Ecamm Call Recorder site, that Skype conversations are recorded in the AAC format.

Don't they have to be in MP3 (PC friendly) format to be accepted by Optimum Contact?
  • Full version ordered. Thought it an investment for less than £20.

Just figured out the 'Convert to MP3' option, so I'll now be able to email the calls to OC.

Recorded two test calls, and set to auto - record. All seems fine.

    Many Thanks :)

Many people are using PAMELA to record phone calls over Skype but the free versions of PAMELA are limited to 15 minute recording times. The paid-for versions (with unlimited recording times) start at around £20, although it is possible to get unlimited Pamela for 'free' if you sign up to TrialPay:

    http://www.pamela.biz/en/products/

If PAMELA is not for you, here is my pick of the totally FREE products

    MP3 Skype Recorder
    Download: http://voipcallrecording.com/
    Ease of Use: Very easy
    Call Recording: Automatic or Manual
    Recording Time: Unlimited
    Discard Short Calls: No
    File format: MP3
Test Call File Size: 150 kB
    Recording Quality: Very good
    Playback: Third Party Player
Operating System: Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7
Skype Version: 5.0 (earlier versions: unknown)

MP3 Skype Recorder is the easiest to use. It produces compact MP3 files which can easily be attached to e-mails and sent to OC daily.

    Callgraph

Callgraph is a little mre difficult to install and use but Callgraph has one every useful feature - recordings of short calls may be instantly discarded.

    iFree Sykpe Recorder

    OC expect you to do a minimum 10 hours/week. I regularly do 30+ hours/week.
