I think I found this site a little bit late but hopefully you'll be able to help in keeping me calm throughout this whole ordeal!

I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant so trying very hard to keep relaxed about it all.

I think my main concern is the interview with the OR after. I'm so used to debt collectors lecturing me on the situation that I'm guessing he'll do the same! Well to be honest there's no point in lecturing me as I cant go back and change anything!

Oh and a quick question - I have one company who is phoning every day, often quite late at night which is waking my baby. My H answers the phone and tells them I'm not in - you'd think they get the hint by now!

Anyway, I thought I'd just tell them that I'm going bankrupt and it would hopefully stop the calls - they are aware its a possibility as when I spoke to them last month in a last ditch attempt to sort this out I told them if they weren't willing to accept what I had to offer the only option I had was to go bankrupt! BUT I'm worried that if I tell them I'm going bankrupt they'll send the balliffs round while they still can - can they do that??

Don't worry - they CAN NOT send the bailiffs round without a CCJ and that takes time - they would need to issue a summons first, and although there are 'fast track' courts, you can always ask for the case to be moved to a court nearer your home.
Tell them that their telephone calls are 'harrassment' and that they are acting in contravention of the Office of Fair Trading Guidelines - there is a good thread on this - I will try to find the link. Insist that any communication be carried out in writing ONLY - it is your right.

    Thanks for that Mike.

Probably wont bother telling them then! We move in March so will be changing our number then so will just have to put up with it until then if they keep phoning me after the BKY - though I wont be so scared to asnwer the phone then and will tell them exactly what I think of them!

Does anyone know, with the Cashminder account, is there any way of paying in if there isnt a co-op bank nearby? And for queries on your account??

    Can a judge refuse bankruptcy?

Yes, via the post office, using a paying-in book that the co-op will send to you. Your normal salary can be paid into that account automatically also.
The Co-op has a fantastic customer service line, for queries and problems.

Yes they can, but they don't usually do so. It is only in extreme circumstances that this would happen.
And no, the new IVA system won't affect your bankruptcy at all.
