On Tuesday I have an interview for a new job! I am in Durham in the North and the interview is in Manchester! Have to be there for Noon, and expect to leave about 8pm! They do a seminar and interview combined. Am in no competition for a job, it just depends whether I wow them or not!
Should be fun - I haven't had an interview for a job since I went to University! Out of practice isn't in it.
The job is in finance, would you believe! Have checked with the FSA that my 100% Full & Final IVA will not stop me from being authorised to practice, and have spoken with my IP, and both say that it is not a problem. The Company are okay with it too. So, it is down to me now!
If I am offered the job I have to sign the contract there and then. So, by Wednesday I should be part of the workforce once again!
What fun!

HI
I'm going to court 19th December and I can't wait!! Stopped paying all credit cards etc the day I decided to go bankrupt. Wish I did it ages ago. Its good to be able to read everybody else's accounts of what happens in court, dare say the nerves will set in slightly the day before but I know this is the best thing I can do for myself and my family.
I love answering the phone to Barclaycard, Capital one now(or rather their collections agency Buchanan, Clark and Wells. Now don't get me started on them , the Glasgow office.....what a bunch of bullying *******!!) The satisfaction I get telling them (politely) I have no money, going bankrupt so cheerio is fantastic.
Bring it on!!!Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives

Just enjoying getting back into work, until this morning when I get a call from the csa asking a load of questions about how long I have been back at work for. Im a bit miffed as although me and the ex are not living together I have paid her £50 a week or as close as i could on the understanding she did not claim income support. So am I right in thinking that she has been claiming income support behind my back? as well as taking my cash, as surely the csa should have no interest in me if she was not claiming benefits. sorry for off topic post but thought I threatining phone calls were a thing of the past0

Got a quick question, plan is to go BR in February 2007 (or before), I am presently defending a County Court Summons for unpaid bills (I have already paid so that is why it's being defended), anybody know what will happen if my BR comes through BEFORE the Count Court Case? I was told yesterday by a clerk not to expect a hearing date until Jan or Feb 2007.
In answer to a question a few posts back, I think there is a review planned for Bankruptcy in March 2007, there's something on the insolvency website about it, but I'm not sure it applies to personal bankruptcy's.BSC Member 44 - not bankrupt yet, but getting there...0 -

I think we may hold the record for time spent in the court room. We sat down, the judge asked if we had taken advice on BR (yes, CCCS) and then pronounced us bankrupt. We left the room. We were in court for ONE MINUTE!!!
Now I'm nervous about OR but I'm not in the state that I was before court today (and the days leading up to it).
Thank you everyone on this thread for helping me get this far.
Glad it went well for you Biz. Don't get too nervous about OR interview - it's going to last longer than the court, obviously, but it is not judgemental (the 'judging' has already been done). It may be a bit 'probing' but the OR is just after facts, and you will normally find them extremely helpfull in explaining any parts of the process that you are unsure of.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

There are two points here JG - firstly, if you dispute the debt, you should carry on with your defence - unless the OR tells you differently.
Secondly, I would reccomend that you include the 'debt in dispute' in your bankruptcy, with a note to the effect that it is in dispute. In theory, once you have been declared bankrupt, the OR/trustee takes over ALL responsibility for your financial affairs and will decide on whether or not to pursue this claim.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
