When applying for DLA

Unless you already recieve HRC you cant be considered for the learning difficulty/behavioural criteria for DLA and you dont get HRC so theres no need to bring it up in answer to this thread, you STILL wont get HRM because you STILL dont fulfil the criteria.
I don't have learning difficulties or behavioural problems (those that do have my sympathy), so this is spurious. I was merely pointing out that the thread was about DLA not about mobility specifically.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

HRM automatically entitles you to a blue badge; but a blue badge doesn't automatically entitle you to HRM (for example, people who are blind, have severe upper limb disabilities or uncontrollable epilepsy can get a blue badge; but not HRM)
Thanks, I was put right on this point by WRO today. I was wrong.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

I may be wrong but this certainly comes across as though you are attacking CWTA and if so it is totally uncalled for. What is the problem here?!
We are here to help each other!
Nobody here is qualified to tell another that they don't fulfil the criteria! It is the DM who decides who is eligible for DLA and at what rate.
Tobruk, don't worry about this, but thanks. Sunnyone is, imo, very angry about something so I don't take it personally at all. from the OPs posts they arnt entitled to HRM, I have taken their information as truthfull and I have replyed as if it is so, they are willing to go all the way to prove a point and I cant see the point when you have no chance of winning.0

That's incorrect as I have given no details of my medical conditions or how they affect me and have no intention of doing so.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Why do these things have to turn in to an argument? I thought this thread would finally be somewhere I could go to for help with DLA, and for a fair few posts it was (thank you everyone), can we not get back to that? For someone coming to terms with a disability and is new to the system the whole DLA process is very difficult and stressful, some people on here have given me invaluable information that has really helped. Please, pretty pretty please, can we draw a line and move on (helpfully)?0

No problem at all.
Are you aware of the Benefits and Work website? They seem to be very helpful for a lot of people and I have also recently come across an emagazine called BBC OUCH.
I agree that going through the system is very, very stressful and any resources that I come across that may be helpful, I will pass on here.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Wow!
I've just had a quick scan of the website and it seems to be really useful; especially as I've just started the first stage of ESA and didn't really have a clue what to do next.0

I'm sorry I hadn't mentioned it earlier; I tend to assume that most people know about it. D'oh!
The membership is, from memory, around £18.00 but it is worth every penny imo as there is so much in terms of info and resources.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 My attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

One sentence says "I am wheelchair bound" which in itself tells anyone reading that you cannot walk and another sentence then contadicts that when you say "I cant walk 10 yards without severe pain".
Walking with pain is not the same as not being able to walk at all and perhaps it is information like this that the DM has had trouble understanding.
If your mobility is as severe as you say it is, you ought to definitely appeal.
I agree you deffinately should appeal, the problem with DLA is you have to spell it out for the DM and repeat yourself constantly  but if you dont they'll just read what they want into it, as with my ex he got turned down because i didnt state on one box that i help him with this ,:p yep it was in the tribunal as a reason.. although it was wriitten on other pages for the same things:rotfl:(tribunal lasted 5 mins, literally)
I have fibromyalgia with secondary chronic musculoskeletal pain, sacroiliitis, reactive depression and scalliosis, but have been turned down
I have severe pain from the first step when walking, all the time and have to use a wheelchair to go out. but even with the pain I have to walk indoors because my home is not wheelchair accessible, plus you have to keep moving and i would rather have pain and move about than pain and sit around and stiffen up, which is worse but you get penalised for writting you refuse to give up, these forms are designed to stop the fakers, by tripping them up into contradicting themselves, but they are more likely to get it, as they take no meds, that cause memory problems, drowseness etc that make filling in forms a problem or a chore, as the majority of disabled people do, so dont give up it's not personal there just not always right to refuse:A:smileyhea:heartsmilValkyria.:heartsmil:smileyhea:A0
