Can they tax you if you are earning under £8,105? Sorry if this is a stupid question... I know that's the Personal Allowance threshold, but they seem to have a different set of rules for you .
No they can't tax you if you're earning under £8,105. It becomes a problem when returning to work, because tax rebates, esa, + earned income could take me above the tax threshold? Tax rebates and esa are taxable income. It all depends on the work situation, although it's unlikely i'll go above the £8,105 threshold. Never far from the mind, is it? the governmental persuasion of forcing people back to work.
That's a good idea, if you can stick at one or two a night. It will take less than a year, I think, due to time when you weren't working, and sometimes the worst part is starting a task. I daren't offer to help, maths not being my forte. I will however cheer you on and provide tea and biscuits if that helps? That was quick! The basin I mean. Do you think word has got round and you have become the proverbial hot potato - 'Quick, give him what he asks for or he'll be back!'You would have thought flooring would have come with the kitchen due to new units etc. messing about with the original layout? Or is that too logical? Plus, how much is it going to cost them for that size of floor? Not enormous sums, but sadly smaller things are so often easier to cut back. Anyway, it's not concluded yet so we will all be hoping with you...I didn't get any gardening done - rain descended - but I too will be out on sc patrol later, not that I can match your tally. Maybe these are the ones you threw away some weeks ago, coming back? Surely there is a finite number? Isn't there?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Life goes from bad to worse, to be honest. I have my appointment for my atos medical, my gp says at some point i will have to return to work, feeling like this, dro's are complex things which mean tax matters have to be forgotten, even if you have a bloody musical instrument. The system is geared to ensure the poorest in soceity have even less. There is no wonder people resort to drink and drugs for warmth and to blank things out, and there is no wonder people resort to crime.
To make matters worse, i have divulged personal information, which mse says you should never do, and now live in fear of the unknown. I urge anyone, not to give out your personal information.

Not sure what has happened re: the personal info Ani but I'm sure whoever you gave it to won't abuse that info, else you wouldn't have done it in the first place.
Did the Dr give any idea of when they are suggesting a return to work? Or was it more 'a sometime in the future'? Could this perhaps be a time when you could try your hand at something else? It's only a suggestion, i would say 'professional slimy critter catcher' but i'm not sure they exist? Well if they don't perhaps you could start a whole new company? xx
Seriously though - we're here to support you in our own little ways xxPretty much what i've done. Rest is definitely the best thing, so make sure you do xx
and no, like you I took none of my own advise and didn't quite rest as much as I should have - though boot camp was knocked on the head today. Bruising come out now it seems through the day but doesn't seem too swollen which is good.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

There are some things i find extremely upsetting and cannot cope with. My coping mechanisms aren't such as " normal " people. Any small thing can tip you over the edge for no apparent reason. It makes you realise how vulnerable you are. And how exposed you are. And yet you are expected to function like a " normal " human being. I need a day in the garden, but it's raining, as ever.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
