It's warm out there and NOT raining! Mind you it could start any moment by the look of the sky, and if it does it will be my fault because I'm the one who just put a load of towels in to wash.

Cheese and salad sandwich for lunch, methinks...

DS2 and up to 25 friends are hitting the Metro Centre today so I have the house to myself and what do I do? Spend time on the computer of course.

Ah well, it's err, soggy here :p

I am going to experiment today and make a macaroni cheese in the sc, ( of the other variant.) 10p shop now sells 4 pints of milk for 10p, :D so i have been thinking what i can make with milk? Please don't say rice puddings etc :p

The only trouble is i had to buy some plain flour, as i don't have any flour in a store cupboard. Also decided to go the whole way and buy " proper " macaroni, so i spent £1.42 on all the ingredients, yesterday. However, this should last me a few days, and the flour and macaroni, considerably longer. All i need is the milk for 10p :D Good investment, if you ask me.

A good old fashioned meal, i haven't had for years. I'm now fed up with stew and it's variants.

For some reason I thought that in the rain forest it would er... rain?

Mac and cheese - yummy. I love that stuff. Mind you for once (rare, I know) I'm having a healthier lunch than you are. :D

The term 'rainforest' does not mean a forest with significant rain. While rainforests are often in wetter areas, this is by no means always the case. Cool temperate rainforests exist, along with tropical rainforests.

The term refers to the fact that conditions are certainly more moist within a rainforest, due to the ecological balance of the soil, creeks and vegetation. It is possible for some rainforests to receive rain daily; it is possible for some rainforests to receive rain weekly or even less, but certainly more often during the region's wet season.

I'm not having it for lunch, i'm having it for tea :p:p

That's if i get round to making it :D

Aha, you've seen my garden, then?

Definitely my garden. :) Should I perch the orchid in the elder bush or the greengage, do you think?

    Argh! it's raining again!

I hope your mum is ok? (((( hugs ))))

The macaroni cheese was gorgeous, although i almost forgot the key ingredient. :D I can still make a roux sauce, after all these years. :p Not only this, i can make the whole lot without weighing the ingredients, ( i don't have any scales, either.) :rotfl: Total guesswork, but perfect, ( if i do say so myself.)

I suspect la famiglia miggy will soon be sampling macaroni cheese.:p
