I discovered yesterday why DD's b/f won't eat things with dates in...

Mum looking much improved, nearly back to her usual self in some ways - staff have resumed defensive postures.

Its very quiet on here today. Hope your Mum is on the mend Miggy and that you've got your appointment on the right day now Ani. Its a black day for me, tears and desperation - just can't seem to pull myself out of the hole. Sorry for being negative

{{{big hug}}} Flax, I wish I could help. If you're up to talking, I'm here.

Thanks, Mum was looking quite a lot better yesterday. I'm not planning to go in till tomorrow but I know the antibiotics should be kicking in soon if not already.

Ani, I hope your appointment goes okay... let us know. :)

Hugs to all those who need them xx

I have spent most of the day on the phone trying to get this, that or t'other moving, but every time i hit a brick wall. The tax rebate is unlikely to come, full stop. Hmrc now says i have 90 live employments showing on the computer system, and ta says this will take some effort to resolve. 9 0. You're having a laugh. Do you pay interest on MY money? I didn't think so. Rang about my esa. They haven't even put my form on the system yet, as some glitch, ( human, i can guarantee,) and it's still in clerical format. Not after cheese has spoken to you? Seemingly have to go for a medical before claim processed. No chance of seeing increase in esa anytime this year then? Cheeses' lackey didn't even seem to know about the assessment period. Shows how much the government actually knows about the benefits system?

Found out more gems of wisdom, today. Esa is taxable income :rotfl: So you'll get it back eventually. If i return to work - that is. Same with tax rebate. Taxable income. Ah. Foiled again. But how can you justify taking tax on something that was mine in the first place? You'll get anything back eventually. Double :rotfl::rotfl:With the £90 i need for the dro, where do i go from here?

It's just totally demoralising trying to sort your life out and trying to work out how you are going to live. It's impossible

Ani I'm sorry you've had such a frustrating day. Its a bit like pensions - you pay tax on the money you earn, pay into a pension fund if you're lucky and then they tax you on it when you get your pension.

Hey, just popping in to offer hugs to all those who need them (seems there's quite a few on here today xxx) Been busy helping my mum sort through some stuff today and get a few things done that have been needing to be done for far too long (if that makes sense?) Feeling a bit pooped but quite pleased with what we achieved.
