    Hey Ani, just popping in to say hello - been a bit of a 'behind' day for me as OH took me out last night and I might have one or two shandy's too many :o

    Not again :naughty::D
    Quick tomato update - lovely lady on Freegle gave me 6 more plants to replace the ones that got munched on - they're quite tiny atm so I'm not sure whether I'll get anything from them or not. My two remaining plants seem to be faring better with a mix of eggshell and cat litter around them so fingers crossed I might at least see some tomatoes. Little ones have been out in the sun today - OH put them out and kept moving them round the garden as the sun moved :A
    T'will be interesting to see if the cat litter works? Good luck with the tomatoes x

    Sorry to be away - busy day, then found Mum's unwell so the home is keeping an eye on her and calling the doctor in the morning or earlier if necessary. Hopefully antibiotics will help.

    Hope your mum feels better soon, and you too. I'm sure we will all miss your wit xx

    OK, so what do you call starving them of their fresh plants and putting them in substandard housing? :rotfl:

    Ermm, ermm, ermm, but we all have to live in sub standard housing? :D
    Besides, there's a veritable feast in their new home :p

    errr, yes...again....oh no! I'm getting a reputation on here! :o:p:rotfl:

    Cat litter seems to be working ok so far, I guess it also holds the moisture as well so an added bonus - oh, and since it's anti-bac and odour neutralising, they will smell as fresh as a daisy too :D

    No news of Mum overnight, which is positive. :) Of course the doctor's rounds won't have been done yet so I'm not expecting anything for a while. It brings back bad memories from a couple of years ago but at least now she's not on her own and her general health's a lot better.

    I thought you sc-hunting people would like a joke which one of my sons saw on Facebook:

    You'd think taking the shells off snails would make them go faster, but if anything, they're more sluggish. ;)

    No news is good news - hope it continues and your Mum is ok. Its comforting to know she has someone with her all the time.

    Thanks Flax. :)

    No change overnight and she's been prescribed antibiotics which feels like the right thing.

    I wonder what slug stew tastes like? They must have a use for something :rotfl:

    There was a programme on tv last night where Jamie somebody or other, released ducks into his vegetable patch to err, dispense of the slugs environmentally. The only problem was, the otherwise carnivores, took a shine to his lettuce, otherwise known as meat and two veg, ducks :rotfl:
