Glad she's home, Flax, and on the way to recovery.

Hi Flax I`m glad to hear that your DD is home. I am actually allergic to some antihistamines too so I can appreciate how important it is to watch your diet for certain foods. Sounds like she is on the mend so thats good.

Ani - a fellow insomniac here! I fell asleep late afternoon and slept very deeply so now I am wide awake listening to all this rain clattering down on my roof !! I guess one consolation is that it`ll save the plant watering duties again this week! :T

    Dear Ani
Please forgive my intrusion - this morning I have finished reading through your diary.
I have nothing wise or helpful to say , I am in a bit of a state myself tbh :). But , you are nothing short of amazing. I just hope that sometime , very soon , you get the good luck & help from the "system" that you so badly deserve.
It makes me cross that in this day and age - someone who has worked hard all their life , has to struggle so hard for the basics. Something is badly wrong there !!

Added to this, that fact that you do this on your own - is staggering & testament to your strength of character.

Apologies for invading your thread :) but of all the diaries on here I have read (& there have been many !) none have touched me quite as much as yours.

Am praying that you get the break you deserve soon.

Hi Aesop They won't let her have one as she has a reaction to so many medicines. She has been like this since having chemo after breast cancer 8 years ago. Salicylates in food cause her problems and tomato is quite high in them and red wine too. They will only use antihistamines intravenously. I doesn't happen very often so long as she is vigilant.

I'm sorry i've no understanding of salicylates, tomatoes, red wine, antihistamines, but i'm sure someone will educate me?

I hope DD is feeling better today, and you too, Flaxseed?

    Just read this again.

I am slowly coming to realise the system is as it is. You either lump it or leave it? There IS no money, seemingly, in the welfare pot we call the benefits system, nowadays. Somehow, you have to live? it's slowly dawning on me. But i'm not going down without a fight?

Just realised too, my unpaid esa would make me £39.18 better off a week, since in real terms, i'm receiving £11 a week less than i should do.
