Wow and thrice wow. Dla is going to wonder what has hit them....more like canons than guns. Hope it all comes to fruition. Its fantastic that you have a good big cheese. Your day sounds better than mine - me poorly with stomach bug and DD1 has had a blue light trip to A & E with a bad allergic reaction. The best bit was when they couldn't find a heart beat because they were listening through her prosthesis! She is 400 miles away

Sorry to hear that flax xx

Hope you both feel better soon :grouphug:

Just had a phone call to say DD now back home doped up with antihistamine. She's had this problem since chemo knocked out her immue system. Its working out what caused it that's the problem. Its been narrowed down to Fennel seeds, tomato paste or the small amount of chianti in a beef ragout. Its very frightening it happens so quickly and she can't have the hydrocortisone they normally give.

It's not a good idea to sleep during the day. I still feel so groggy. On the other hand your body must need it? Just couldn't keep awake.

Just realised i should now be receiving higher rate esa? Even the lower rate WRAG would mean an extra £28.15 a week? A fortune to me. I've gone well past the 13 weeks now, but i haven't heard anything from them. Maybe i will see how much i receive this week, and then start chasing this. Looks like another battle will be imminent as they will likely put me in the wrag group, as it saves them money. Fit for work? Is it acceptable you are still fighting for benefits four months into illness? What of those who aren't me? What of those who never let go however hard they try? Did i just say that? Am i truly going to have someone come and design my kitchen, next week? Haven't looked at cookers yet. Maybe i should?

Hi Flaxseed, has your DD's doctor suggested she carry an eipipen in case of an attack like this? Might be worth talking to them.

My DS takes citrizine. This works for him. Don't know again if worth talking to DD's doctor about it? Also I found for a short time he was allergic to tomatoes - tomato sauce, tomato paste, etc.

    Hope she is ok. x

Hi Aesop They won't let her have one as she has a reaction to so many medicines. She has been like this since having chemo after breast cancer 8 years ago. Salicylates in food cause her problems and tomato is quite high in them and red wine too. They will only use antihistamines intravenously. I doesn't happen very often so long as she is vigilant.
