Sheep still looking very dejeted. Still raining. It won't be long before they separate Moms from lambs. I don't like that they bleat for a couple of days calling to one another. I don't look or listen when the lorry comes .......
Risking a bit more info on the washing machine, I had mine sitting on a stout piece of wood with castors on the bottom and wheeled it near enough to the sink to get the outlet pipe over the edge. It was inconvenient while it was out, but at least I could use the machine.
I'm full of good ideas, they don't always work but I reckon my junior school headmaster was about right when he said I was capable of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear
Ani if it smells a bit, it will be bits of water sitting in in the bottom of the machine and anything you put in will smell eventually.Never pass a chance to say you care to those in your life as we are not promised a tomorrow0 -

Oh no! to the sheep and the slow cooker.
Beanie, can you make a hay box cooker? I mean, you might want another slow cooker of course, I just want to hear about someone making a hay box! I believe they actually cook very well.
Flax, I don't know why we don't all put heavy white goods on wheeled platforms, it makes so much sense when you consider potential back strains and ripped floor coverings. Mind you then I'd have no excuse if I didn't clean behind the cooker.Miggy

Ok. I've decided i want to live in the modern world, like other people, with an ordinary washing machine plumbed into its rightful place, with an ordinary cooker, fridge / freezer, with curtains, and with limbs / body / brain / and whatever else with functioning capabilities. Don't want much, do i? There are people worse off than me, take that guy in that documentary, for instance. That's not living either.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Did you get a medical diagnosis?
If you aren't strapped up - or even if you are! - can you use cold water, maybe in a washing up bowl or something? I don't want to give you pneumonia, so you'd need to keep warm, but cold water goes a good bit of the same way as an ice pack and has the advantage it stays below body temperature. Even a towel soaked in cold water might help.
If you aren't partly under water (!), try to support both sides of the injury, e.g. a pillow or rolled up clothing.
I'm not a first aider, I've done emergency aid for work but that's not the same - but you do pick up a few ideas when getting kids from 0-18! Gory stories on some other occasion, though.Miggy
