Ani, I have no idea how you do it. I have quietly read your all of your diary over the last few weeks and I have to say that what you are going through is terrible and awful, and yet, even in the bleakest bits your humour, grit and determination show through
Thank you for reminding me of things
Hi Ani, I've read your diary everyday for a while now but never really known what to say. I can't imagine the pain you're going through but I am seeing some disabled people experiencing similar concerns and today I heard about someone who died not long after finally getting her situation resolved and I would hate that to happen to you.

Colgate are giving out free samples of toothpaste if it helps, I know everything does when you're counting things so tightly.

I wish I could help somehow, I think your MP is the best bet, show them how the system is failing people and make sure to make a very big point on the impact of your health. I really hope it changes something, even just one thing to make anything better for you. I will keep thinking of you and hoping things turn out for the best sooner rather than later.

Just wanted to say what lovely people come out of lurkdom. :)

Hearing your support and concern is soooo good. :A:A

I'm so tired, as ever, ( know how you feel Hi.) I know sometimes i don't want to be reminded on your thread because i should go for my test which is now well overdue. That part of my life, i prefer to forget. It makes you think about it, even writing this. Ignorance is?

Its quite sad / strange. Strangers you know, but don't know. You read about their lives. Their goals, their aspirations, their achievements. Become involved in their lives, in some small way.

Of course, we all reach different stages in our lives. Starting out, full of ambition, youth on your side. Youth is all in the head, isn't it? It's all a state of mind. I don't have any ambitions anymore. Not in that, i must achieve this, sort of way. Not to criticise those who do. You just reach a stage in your life where you want time to enjoy. Whatever it may be. It doesn't have to be anything in particular. Just inner peace. With yourself and the world. With yourself and life?

What really counts are people. Other human beings. Time. Time to enjoy. Time to relax. Time to chill. I don't want to work myself to death. I've been there. Done that. I want to be able to take a step back. Do whatever, whenever. It doesn't have to be a jet set life, for want of a better phrase. Life in the fast lane, is no longer for me. I want a slower pace of life. I don't have a money target other than to be able to pay my bills and know i can keep a roof over my head, and not have to constantly worry.

Dreams. I guess i achieved many things other people dream about, along the way, although i've always considered myself a failure. But that appears to be attributed to my personality? I've been asked in this phase, what do you enjoy, it can't all be black. I'd still like to visit those two places i never quite made it to, New Zealand and the Antartic. Thats about me, to be honest. Does that mean at least i still have a dream?

    It's funny how life evolves.

Keep forgetting about Saz there, how are you Saz? :hello:

Should refrain from reflecting / getting maudlin. It isn't always good for the soul.

Today i have dr's appointment, and a day of slow cookering, ( will remember to commence with the proceedings as soon as i get back from the dr's.) Hmmm, i wonder if i can work out how to make dumplings? There's a thought.

I now question my sanity, and it seems as if I am not living in the real world. Basically, as i understand it, as long as you receive *** and you can pay the rent and council tax, it is of no concern if you have money to pay anything else? Have i got this right now?

    I think so.

    Am i just totally thick?

Doesn't sound right to me - but then the system is set up by people who don't have to live off it.

    Grrr.
