On the plus side, my sight has deteriorated in the last four years,( which obviously i knew it had as i can't see too well,) and i know have super douper deluxe nhs specs on order, and ready for delivery next week?

You know it's time to be grateful when you don't care too much about what you are wearing, just as long as you can see. Didn't take long at all, in fact.

Oh to be able to see again. Thats the first time ever, i've been to the opticians and not paid a penny. No time to be proud over these things. Must remember to get some more toothpaste soon, too.

Hi Ani, I've read your diary everyday for a while now but never really known what to say. I can't imagine the pain you're going through but I am seeing some disabled people experiencing similar concerns and today I heard about someone who died not long after finally getting her situation resolved and I would hate that to happen to you.

Colgate are giving out free samples of toothpaste if it helps, I know everything does when you're counting things so tightly.

I wish I could help somehow, I think your MP is the best bet, show them how the system is failing people and make sure to make a very big point on the impact of your health. I really hope it changes something, even just one thing to make anything better for you. I will keep thinking of you and hoping things turn out for the best sooner rather than later.

You're not cheering loud enough, methinks :D

    HUZZAH, HUZZAH, HUZZAH!!!

Alternatively a dining chair, an armchair and one of those whirly things they have in offices. (Try it with a NZ accent).

I expected you to be exhausted but you are apparently unstoppable. :) Must be the glasses - the not caring what they look like as long as you can see again is a clear indicator you are over 30. :D

*Sings* I can see cleeee-arly, now that Lorraine is gone...

(I hope that's not someone on here or that you know. Never met a Lorraine I didn't like.

I have another meeting - got to go - urgh meetings, at least today's meetings. The one at lunchtime went on for hours, and this is one I have nothing to contribute to: only going to oblige someone and have resolved to be strong and say I can only do the AGM next year. :D Back later.

Sadly, I think it's more likely to be the other way around

Thanks for the link. The dentist is currently giving me prescriptions for free toothpaste, so this is one of the few things which is covered.

This is the whole issue, isn't it? the impact on my health and well being. Or it's supposed to be. At the moment i'm just trapped in a never ending nightmare?

Thankyou for your post. It is so poignant, ( of the affecting the feelings, definition.) You are welcome to post. It's a shame there are those who don't know what to say. Would i know what to say? I don't know. When you try and help someone and you are banging your head against a brick wall? When you try and help yourself, and you are banging your head against a brick wall. But i hope there are times when others do see something of my personality.

Hi Fallenwiccan :hello:nice to see you here.

Ani, the problem is if people don't read your diary from the beginning, they all want to say the same thing. Do this, do that.

Those who have read it, understand, it is not that simple. Those who have been here from the early days, understand.

    No, what do you say?

    apart from :hello: Hello.

and I won't do that AA bit again... :rotfl: (my name is Ani)
