Today was going to be a what? day.

I now have another sick note for another 3 months. What happened to the last 3 months. They flew past me somewhere. Phone calls which have to be made, have been made. Rent and ct which has to be paid, has been paid. I am now getting into benefits scrounger mode, or should i say mindset, or is it just the way it leaves you non feeling. Isn't that numb? You know, the one where you feel so desolate, all you want to do is stay in bed all day, and not grovel out until benefits day. Living for benefits day. Such as they aren't.

There IS no way round bureaucracy and the system. Bureaucracy words things in such a way, that this is the bible. End of. It doesn't look at real situations. Nor understand them, either.

I have an amazing amount food, which will last me how long? ages. I have a store cupboard. Its surreal. I have no need to leave this place ad infinitum. Except to pay the bills, of course. If i can, that is. Don't forget collecting benefits. Can't do this at the same time, as bills are due, before benefits are paid.

I'm going to bed. I'm exhaustd. At least the slow cooker is on.

I wonder if the weekend has been catching up on you? You must be all in. Hope you got some rest?

Three months more on the sick note is very good - not good that you're ill of course but good that you have some stability. I hope you don't hole up all the time though, even with food to eat! With a fair wind and a whatever it is you might be able to get some walking in.

I will contribute a muesli bar if that's an incentive? :D That's what walkers eat, isn't it? Or is that chocolate?

I think everyone's asleep on here and I should be too. DD and DS2 have been deep in revision this evening - both doing their last exam tomorrow, and in consequence I've been deep in DD's revision too. We now know all about Malinowski and the Trobriand Islanders, or at least she does. Oh joy.

Hope your slow cookering turned out well?

Hmmm, i wonder if i can work out how to make dumplings? There's a thought.

I'm not sure if I do these correctly, but rubbing marg into flour and adding a bit of water, then rolling into rough blobs usually works!! xx

What day is it today? I can't remember the weekend, now. The charity person said to me last week, you're going to have a breakdown.

Isn't a breakdown when you sit there rocking back and forth?

No, it's when you just sit there, isn't it?

Good luck to offspring's exams x

I don't have to cook for a few days, now. :D Unfortunately, the slow cooker was so full, there wasn't room for dumplings. Ah well, next time?

I think all the events of recent days / weeks caught up with me, yesterday. Too much to cope with. Overwhelmed. Overwhelmed too, with generosity of spirit or should i say, spirits? x Another of those evenings when i just couldn't keep awake. I'm sleeping at all the wrong times. Yesterday i vowed to stay in bed for the day, today.Today i don't feel quite the need / despondency? Whilst i'm feeling like this, i should try and do something today? If only i could decide, what?

    Morning Ani and all. :)

We actually have a bit of sunshine here today - does that mean I have to try to tackle the brambles which have the temerity to be looking in at the dining room window? A positive disgrace. :D However the whole flower bed there is madly overgrown with perennials that have got too big and grass that wasn't invited, and I can either leave it or brave it.

DKs are now in exams: I am enjoying a last couple of hours of not competing for the computer.

Ani, my best advice for what to do today is either to indulge yourself completely or come and stand on the sidelines instructing me where it's safe to move in this jungle! I will provide EG. We seem to have a packet of Oreos too...

Re: sleep, I had a thought and I can't remember if I've mentioned it before? I know sleep can be banked' short term, and similarly if you are short of sleep short term then you're more likely to sleep more and catch up. I wonder if the same happens in the longer term? If so will you sleep much of the next few years? ;)

The weekend wasn't good, I'm sure that's contributed to how you felt yesterday. Today's another day: I am sure we can find something for you to do.

Lovely to hear you had a sc full last night. I was hoping you'd wake up in time to enjoy it before it all turned to mush.

Shame about the lack of dumplings. Never mind, that's one to try another time.
My suggestion for something to do: put on Radio One very loud in the garden and see if you can get to know the neighbours? :D
