A hectic day of being ill, today. I'd forgotten, i also have to fit in a visit to the council, with said letter. Made it through the weekend, didn't i? There always seems to be a target these days? I just have to sort this out, first of all. Actually, i can't believe i made it through the weekend.

I don't think i'll have chance for the slow cookering today,( yes i know, i feel like inventing a new word. ) Besides, i haven't any mushrooms. Can't have ash without mushrooms. Or red cabbage, or beetroot, for that matter. Salad, it will have to be, today. Found some more pasta, yesterday. Will definitely try pasta, this week.

I can't believe i had the stupidity to email my mp. Well, it feels like it, anyway. Fancy getting in touch with your mp. Was that me? Now i will wait and see if i receive a reply. This will be interesting. Won't it?

Still. I can always turn up at the surgery, if i don't receive a reply?

Ah, i just thought. Don't forget, i got myself into this mess, in the first place.

    Ah, postie on early rotation.

Letter from bank re gross misconduct, ( so what's new there?)

Letter from council re new housing development which may affect me.
Haven't they better things to do, which may affect me?

Letter re yet another form which has to be completed, or else my benefit will cease. Great. I'll not complete that one, then. Trouble is, i have to wait until the end of July for my benefit to stop.

One assumes they have to earn their keep somehow. :D Let's hope we see it in action.

At a lower level, local councillors also have surgeries - and from my time working for a Council, I remember the employees jump to attention if a Councillor so much as lifts an eyebrow!

Good luck with all that stuff there is to be done! We are standing behind you cheering (if somewhat soggily, but the intent is there).

I emailed 3 of my local councillors when I was having problems getting my wheelie bin emptied, surprise surprise, had the manager of the department for wheelie bins come to the house and arrange for my wheelie bin to be emptied!

New job is very hard work! I am supposed to let my colleague know on a friday my diary and other stuff for a monday meeting. Inevitably I forget and end up emailing from home.

As today I have forgotten to do it, I better do it now!

I enquired about the possibility of becoming a councillor, when i moved in, and have been approached, since. However the meetings are the same night as the rambles, and to be frank, bureaucracy would drive me to distraction. However, i am a rebel without a cause, ( which would drive them to distraction,) if they did but know. :rotfl:

I feel the underclass in soceity should be represented.

Hmmm, which is now what i have become................

You're not cheering loud enough, methinks :D

Oooo, i've received an email. Not from the big cheese, ( well you didn't really think this would happen, did you?) but they will ring me to arrange a convenient surgery time, ( does this mean i DO get to see the big cheese?) and someone else will also contact me beforehand, as they handle the majority of benefits issues.

I think you, ( meaning me,) now have to accept no one is ever going to have the definitive answer to my employment status, except hmrc, although i've been asked twice today, are you working? You shouldn't, you should be receiving this, and so it goes on
